I really appreciate the way you did this video. We are just ordinary people with no bunker or basement and we live from week to week. None of us can do everything...unless maybe your very wealthy, but I think your first goal Angela is getting out of debt, getting on a budget, increasing the income possibly and making a start. Check out dave ramsey for a awesome experience on getting out of debt and building wealth. I only say this cuz no one should live paycheck to paycheck. Ive been there, but never like most americans live like. One day I'll have my bomb shelter, but just surviving normal life/saving/building wealth should come first as that is the more imminent threat to life than a possible nuclear fallout situation.. But of course a lot of what this guy layed out in the vid is done very cheaply if you just store all the supplys in a tote or something too.

We live in a old home. We covered our windows with: we cut to fit a 1 inch thick 8x4 foot sheet of insulation and used duck tape to secure it in our window. We have already done the rooms we don't use and have cut the pieces for the windows in use so if this happens they are ready to go. Going to get pool noodles and cut to fit...slide on the bottoms of our bedroom doors for extra protection.

Totally on the money. Radiation from the explosion is bad, and I dont like the idea of getting the equivalent of 10,000 xrays in one day. But ingesting or inhaling alpha-emitting debris and dust is the thing that is going to kill you. FYI anything that filters is good for your air circulation. HEPA filters in your vacuum cleaner or Vicks air purifier will filter radioactive crap out of the air. We can do little about radioactive isotopes apart from taking lots of iodine. But just remember that anything that stops dust and crap entering your breathing zone is a good thing

That is true, but you will also need enough power to be able to keep the equipment operational. Best to assume the worst...namely that you won't have power. If you're close enough, the EMP from the blast will see to it. Remember: these are not conventional weapons here. Nukes can be set to blast at altitude...they don't have to actually contact something to detonate. So, they might go off at 10,000 feet. What's more, there may also be specifically EMP blasts where the nuclear weapon detonates VERY high up...like 500 miles high up. No damage, no radiation getting you, but, the EMP will fry the grid.

I'm glad you found a few things helpful. I try to keep it on a calm level. The amount of anxiety and agitation out there can cloud the simple messages. Always trying to prepare and keep a few steps ahead. No plan is perfect, but having a plan is better than none. 😁👍

Helpful video. I like the way you explain things clearly. We bought a lot of bags of garden soil and are planning to use them like sandbags in and against our window wells and around the foundation. Then, if this crisis blows over - voila- instant garden!

A hydroponic fan and hydroponic carbon filter will give you nbc level filtration allowing you to have clean fresh filtered air consuming approx 30 watts means it can run off a medium size power station as well as led lights the power station can be recharged off fold out solar panels. Then a medium to large power station can run a freezer, mini oven and mini rice cooker means you can eat while you survive.

We are living within the 45 minutes too an hour 15 minutes from majeure possible meltdown if such attack would happen in our area,but people needs educational game plans. your information is very helpful. But for zone 3 are very much in a chaos no matter what or how to get out of disasters. God Bless good luck

That was one of the Best Explanations of how to use tape not the windows, spray carpeneters spray caulk , spray soapy water bubble wrap to windows, painter tape to tape dark garbage bags to the window then use duck tape to cover the edges and set up sections to walk through to get to the sealed safe room. Really Great information, I think your description of how to do these steps is one of the best! Thanks :)

Me and my fiance live in a 2 bedroom apartment in Binghamton new York and have been stocking medical,items and materials,food and water extra plastic,duck and gorilla tape,super glue,spray paint to cover plastic and border windows and door,I have shotgun,extra ammo,tasers,tons of pepper spray,working on a pistol and ARE 15 PISTOL RIFLE with loads of ammo for home dafense,we are also looking for a small house with a basement in the counyry,and everything this man said is very helpful,hopefully better heads will prevail and there won't be a nuclear war but better to be prepared than be sorry,and plus we are going to order GR Counters and radiation detection equipment from Atlas fallout shelters,everyone be safe

Tip: bottled iodine tincture can be used safely this way; put about half dollar size on either inside of your wrist or on tummy just above belly button. If your body is needing iodine, it will disappear within an hour. During a crisis you may need to do multiple times daily. This method will also help people that normally take Levi thyroxin or thyroid removed.

My plan is to take our little kitchen table put it in the safest area of the house which is right in the middle of well not the middle of the living room there's a wall next to it and put mattresses on top of it in the mattress next to it and some blankets and my pillow and we're going to sleep in it may not be the best but it's the only option we've got it's just me and my dogs I'm 60
