In this timelapse video, we want to show you in 37 minutes how you can build a frame house with your own hands. During construction, we use power tools and advice from the famous carpenter Larry Haun. Perhaps, to some of you, some of the maîtres may seem non-standard, but we are obliged to use the technical documentation of the region in which we build frame houses.
For questions regarding cooperation, you can contact us by email:

@harshcarpenter

Because We are in a rainy and snowy region; it is advisable to insulate the floor after the roof and wind protection on the walls are already in place. Yes, this causes some inconvenience, but the end result and quality are important to us!

I hate these crawl spaces. Spend some extra money and pour concrete slab or insulate the osb board underneath at least. If I had to go with crawl space I would rather use good quality plywood and would at least paint the bottom side to make it little more resistant against the moisture. These osb boards suck. It is just commercial propaganda that tries to prove it better than plywood.

Hear good things about stapling insulated Mylar, just eighth of an inch thick to the bottom prevents rodents and does all those things you’re talking about. I wouldn’t personally use OSB on the bottom where I live in Lane county Oregon, but people in Deschutes county Oregon certainly could because it’s incredibly dry there, so it really depends on your environment.

@@markb1487 I'm in Ireland and I built a 90 sq mt (approx 900sq ft) workshop. A suspended timber floor with 100mm Kingspan rigid foil backed insulation between the joists. The joists were 7"X2" and 7"X3", noggins every 4', 18mm T+G OSB on top which was glued and nailed (62mm zinc coated ring shank nails) Solid as a rock and not going anywhere. I built it in two phases because of budgetry and time constraints. In my opinion every house should be built over a crawlspace or full basement.
