Since they don’t make 20’ deck boards should’ve done the deck board in a combination of 8’ and 4’ boards. Then alternate them to break up the seams 4’ then 8’ then 8’ next row would be 8’ 4’ 8’ then 884 and repeat that’s give you the best look and achieve your 20’ deck width

Just an FYI, they do make 20' decking boards in PT and composite.

This was a nice, easy & simple method of completing this project and I’m going to make one (different dimensions) just like it. (For future projects {if you don’t mind & it’s not too much extra work for you}, would you mind including more info on the products you’ve used {in the video description}? Like the deck blocks, deck guard {which you mentioned by Brand Name} or even the tool used for the spacing or anything else even.) THANX!

Very nice work, love the simplicity! I understand keeping the window wells open for light but isn't is a hazard? Especially if you have young kids? Just curious 😊

If there are high or low points would you recommend renting a large floor sander and making it all nice and smooth and even before staining and sealing? Just wondering...good job though!

Thanks. If it is bothering you yes you can, ot just buy belt sander, Ryobi corded what will work fine. I got mine 3 years ago and still working great.

What size wood did you use for the picture framing around the deck?

I used 2*6. You can use 2*8 as well but 2*6 would be more preferred giving some nicer look. Please like and subscribe! Thanks!

Very nice.... can I ask? 1. Why you didn't tape all the boards under the deck? 2. Why are you using 2x6 instead of 5/4?

I just missed to tape them all I guess. I used 2*6 for covering the deck as that is what is usually used and giving the best look I think. You can go with any of your choice 👍

Yes they were not. It was lumber left over from another project of mine. I heavy stained it with deep penetrating oil stain so it is fine. Please like and subsribe! Thanks!

Yes. Oil stain will last and only fade over time while water based stain gets very bad after few years and starts flaking off so does not seal anymore. Oil based is maintenance fee comparing to water based stain.

No CAMO is only to space our deck boards. For the picture frame I just used deck screws and fastened it for the joist under it. Please like and subscribe! Thanks!

How did you make it level?

Half of it was on concrete and half on soil so I raised/adjusted pavers on the the side where deck was sitting on the soil by adding more gravel/sand under the paver. The other option is to buy adjustable deck block on amazon. Please like and subscribe!
