Shout out to making a video the old school way; raw, no awkward jump cuts or transitions, kid blabbing in the back ground, and to the point. Thanks man for the info. Trying to make a loft ladder

I'm out in the woods building a tree stand ladder and can't figure out the Exact angel to cut for this ladder that is 16' to the top. I could eye ball it but I was thinking there has to be a better way to figure out the angle. And I came home and found your DIY ladder video and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Even the app was a great idea. So now when I go back out to my stand I'll have what I need. Thanks soooo much for explaining it in simple terms.

Excellent video. I'm actually looking forward to my next project now after this instruction! I particularly like your craftmanship way of taking the time to drill decent pilot holes is an often overlooked but important step. Takes very little extra time to do it right, right?

I hear you have a little help with your measuring.........
@robd4914 Жыл бұрын
Thanks a ton. I used this as a template and it worked great. Only improvement for me would to make that first step from the top a normal height. Its too short and awkward having a 3-4" step at the top. Great stuff!

Wish you would have explained the 90 degree cut because once you make it it shortens every thing
@Graxster4 жыл бұрын
At 1:20, you shouldn't be measuring the length before cutting the angle on the bottom of the board so the ladder is sitting flat on the ground. Other than that, great video, and was a great help!

I love it, but I just think you should have made the steps about 6 to 8 in for children, and they're tiny legs. I don't think I need an OSHA ladder. Heh.

Try apple’s app. Mine was included and didn’t have to download. The app is called measure, then select “level”. I just tried it. Hope this helps.

Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my mate at very last got astronomical success with it.?

I notice that a lot of your screws go into the end grain. I am concerned how this would hold up to constant climbing. How has this lasted?
@okiediy12666 жыл бұрын
I drilled pilot holes to prevent splitting. Ladder is holding up great so far.
