I’m in central KY and started doing mobile tires in July of 2020. I went with the weaver tire machine and balancer as well. I’ve had great luck with them.

How are you doing with that I mean what’s the population of the town that you live in and what was your first year like and how long did it take you to catch on I’m up here in northern Maine so my question also is how did you market this how did you introduce it to people and who did you introduce it to

Great video!! You answered all the questions. I'm interested in knowing where you source your tires , if you don't mind sharing.

You could extend the trailer tongue and mount the air compressor and generator there on a frame. For more space inside!!!

Do you jack up the trailer when you run the balancer? I use a hunter GSP9600 balancer and had to put a 3/8" steel plate across the floor and jack up the frame to get a good balance on 33" and bigger truck tires.

No I don’t sorry just seen this my trailer is already leveled on the hitch I have an adjustable hitch I made sure my trailer is leveled when stopped I never had a problem with balancing a wheel yet

What is the type of generator,tire balance and changer, compressor am gonna use on the van,I guess is different from the one you can fix in shop

Do you tell them to get their wheels retorqued at a shop? It's supposed to be done however it wouldnt be practical to drive back out to a customer after a day or two.

Do you run your tire mounter on a generator or do you have a pneumatic one?? I was told a generator wouldn’t be strong enough to run a mounter
@logicalthinking212 жыл бұрын
The generator controls the turn table and the claws are pneumatic. I have a 9000 watt generator and I could run my compressor, tire changer and my balancer all at one time with no problem at all. Idk who told you that but maybe they don’t understand that generators have different ratings and depending on what you buy is what you can run. Mine could power my house so trust me it has no problem running the 3 things in my trailer

What size is your trailer

Hi mate, Do u have the link for your compressor? what is the smallest size I can use for this set up? thanks
@logicalthinking212 жыл бұрын
I’m pretty sure every machine has it own specific rating but mine was a 150-175 psi with 5 CFM that’s the important part right there the air flow. I wouldn’t go less then 20 gallons just so the compressor isn’t always turning on and off making things louder and pulling more power from the generator because then you use more gas. Mine is 27 gallon 200 psi 5.1 CFM @90 psi and works perfect never lacked air but it does turn on about 2 times during a tire change bigger tank and it would only need to turn on once per tire. It is a little below the recommended power but like I said never had an issue. Here is the link to it. www.harborfreight.com/27-gallon-200-psi-high-performance-vertical-shopauto-air-compressor-56403.html

Is your balancer accurate on hills?
@logicalthinking213 жыл бұрын
I’m in Florida so we don’t really have hills we are mostly flat and I really always try to stay on flat surfaces as long as both my trailer wheel are on the same level it’s good but regardless it’s more on how it mounted as long as you have your machine bolted to a flat surface it shouldn’t matter I have done a few on a slight hill well a Florida hill not like if your in San Fran and never had a problem with my balancing or any complaints
@INTIREMOBILETIRESHOP3 жыл бұрын
@@logicalthinking21 that's refreshing to know because I have these swinging metal arms locking the bottom lips of the balancer to the floor and I unlock them and swing them out the way to level the balancer before balancing and I'm tired of doing that. I have the Derek Weaver now but I had the Atlas mobile balancer and they said it had to be level. I'm in Atlanta so I do want it bolted to the floor for theft purposes. I'm going to balance the same tire twice with it level and then unlevel and see what I get. Thanks for responding and I love your setup!
@logicalthinking213 жыл бұрын
@@INTIREMOBILETIRESHOP thank you for that… the only thing I can say is the best way to compare it is to have your old one on a hard leveled surface and recalibrate it before anything both machine must be recalibrated on the new surface they are mounted to then do the comparison

Question for you tire mounter I always planned on trying an electric mounter but someone told me it won’t work because a generator won’t be strong enough
@martinflores9382 Жыл бұрын

The problem with this business model is the people want their flats fixed while they are working , but they also want it cheap. They won't pay a premium for it. So they can go to a shop.
@logicalthinking21 Жыл бұрын
That is correct but you have to learn your market for example in the city I lived in their was no tire shop for at least 20 min and a lot of people didn’t really have any other option or a lot of road side service calls it puts people in predicaments where I’m their best option
