How To Build A Paludarium Step By Step (2023)

Welcome to the first video of my KZfaq channel series where I show you how to build paludariums, terrariums, vivariums and other live ecosystems.
In this video, you can expect to learn how to create your own paludarium step-by-step. The finished product can take about one week or more to complate.
Be sure to wear a mask and gloves when working with the chemicals for these projects!
The plants I used are listed below. Materials used are mentioned in the video. You can find them at your local home improvement store or online.

Very nice video. Many of the tricks I know from other videos are combined (paper in the flower pots, PU foam on a base etc) but the one with the cable is brilliant! I've already seen how paracord was turned into vines but thanks to your video I have a solution for the power cable of my pump and heater.

I notice a that many of the plants used in this setup had soil from the landscaping pots as well as some plants appear to be succulents that would be more at home in a dryer environment. Anyways, great job on the hardscape and water feature. There are no animals going into this setup besides springtails and maybe isopods so keeping soil from the nursery should be okay. I wouldn't reccomend using that soil if you are planning to add reptiles, amphibians, fish, or any type of crustaceans to your setup due to the risk of contamination. For a setup containing animals, for planting, I would reccomend a sterile organic planting mix like abg. For plants, grow from seed, propagation, tissue culture, or at the very least, thoroughly wash and rinse and remove as much soil as possible and rinse roots as to not unintentionally contaminate your setup with and pests, insecticides, or chemical fertilizers.

I’m unable to stop the water from soaking into the soil constantly. Any tips so I don’t have to keep replacing it everyday?

Maybe you can put some rock In front of water pump so water flow can be slower.

hi i hope you are doing well hey my name is hossein from iran i love nature and also building palladarium terrarium and vivarium but unfortunately there is no source to teach me step by step and i have no experience in filed of making above mentioned ecosystems so recently i checked youtube but i couldn't find any comprehensive and step by step tutorial hence hereby i would like to ask you teach me how to build palladarium step by step most videos are summerized so the teacher miss or skip some step of building palladarium and this make a trouble for learners like me

Love the build, but please, PLEASE don’t cut things towards your hand. Would hate for you, or anyone else attempting a build to get hurt or even lose function in their hand from such a simple mistake.
