Awesome video! On your next “How to build” could you explain why you picked that particular hardware? Like why you picked the 700w power supply? How much power is right for your build? Absolutely amazing videos. I've almost got my PC built using the D-P motherboard; I'm awaiting the cooler. I went ahead and assembled everything else. I don't think there will be too much trouble installing the cooler with the motherboard in place. I didn't use the extension cables and it worked out great. I do have a question. There are two thermistor cables in the box with the motherboard. Do they need to be connected? If so, where do you run the wires? It had been many years since I built my last computer. These videos made it very easy. Thanks again.

Tech. Thank you very much for the whole content that you share with us. Following your videos I am feeling confident to give a try on anything I see from you, because your explanations are soo detailed. Just on question. I am just building my own PC now and I am using the MSI B550 Unify following your last comparison from 3 motherboards and how amazing this motherboard is. Can you please just tell me if with this motherboard I still need to buy a PCIE card like you bought for this built, or with the MSI B550 Unify is not necessary? Once again. Thanks a lot!!

Mate, you are awesome! I trust your thinking process and even though I'm a geek in researching and analyzing I just don't have the time to dedicate anymore. I wish there were more genuine KZfaqrs out there just like you without biased "sponsored" views. I was a huge apple addict for the last 10 years and to be honest, the osX experience is just stunning comparing to windows. You are right, the price of macs are not justified anymore. Since Jobs died and the introduction of touch bars in MBP's and gold colours in iPhones, it feels like the brand took a very different path. Also dropping the support on Cuda in their products was a kick under the belt for creatives that we put our trust in Apple. The reason why this week I start building my own rig. Pretty hard with the shortage of GPU's and no rains in Taiwan. Again, thank you for existing. I love watching you and you should have your Patreon page as well !

@@theTechNotice So i built the same one, except i went with Rtx2060 until the craziness on prices stops, as well with different Memory (Hyper-X 2x32). My only concern is that sometimes when pc goes in sleep mode, feels like pc is off but the light on the water cooler stays and cant wake up with keyboard, only if i keep pressed the off button on the case. Keyboard wakeup computer is checked in settings. Any clue?

This step-by-step video guide on how to build this workstation convinced me to give it a try. I followed your build instructions exactly - down to cable management - and everything worked! The pc is blazing fast! I decided to hold off on buying the gpu until prices come down. (In the meantime, I am using a gpu scavenged from a previous system.) Any recommendations on a sound card? Or do you recommend using the onboard audio?

My latest build had the power supply outside of the case, bolted to the back in a seperate small housing with a small quiet fan. Never seen it like this before, it's apparently to remove the heat generated by the power supply from the inside of the case completely.

Hey i have a question about the AIO connectors. In particular, why did you connect the pump to the CPU_FAN slot if the mobo has a dedicated CPU_OPT (Water cooling CPU fan header) slot on it that the manufacturers stated it's for the pump? Or maybe attach the pump to SYS_FAN5/6_PUMP? I'm just asking because in the manuals they state these ports offer speed control for a water cooling pump. What's the advantage of attaching the pump to the CPU_FAN slot?

Question: I'm thinking of building this (or similar), but I'm trying to decide if it's worth the extra $$ to get the better motherboard so I can have 2 of the faster SSDs. But I'm wondering if it would be fine to put the OS and apps on the slower (3GB/s) of the two and use the faster one for video footage. Would that not be a better usage of the speed? Or is it more important for apps to have faster access?

Hi great video. I've been following along. Question about the PSU installation. Why did you out the psu fans facing upwards instead of facing down? Wouldn't it make sense to draw cold air from outside of the case to the psu instead of from inside of the case? Thanks

Have you done a build specifically for Davinci Resolve. That would be great for Me. I'm currently looking at digital storm which is pricey. I'm thinking alot of their configuration they've suggested is more for looks than performance. I'm not a techy by any stretch; all I know is I like to have no less than 24 cores with 128 GB of Memory; 1TB OS drive and a comparable size 500 GB or more for a scratch and storage 10TB. Can you please demonstrate a stable build 🙏🏿 for me especially if I do not need to drop 10k. (I sure hope you can answer).

The fan rotates and the radiator vibrate therefore washer for screws is required. In some cases, power supply fans should be down and the case has a down outlet with a filter. Circulation of heat in the power supply has nothing to do with the case. It is possible to see RM750X up-down. I can see a filter under the power supply space.

Thanks for the build! I don't know much about computer building, but if I followed this build and used a rtx 3080 instead, would it still work? I'm thinking of doing this build (for Blender and Unreal Engine purposes), but instead switching out the gpu for the 3080 and the CPU for a 5950x.

Hey Lauri, how does this differentiate from the Mac Pro Killer?
@theTechNotice
@theTechNotice 3 жыл бұрын
Much better GPU performance & much better single core/thread performance meaning the mac pro killer will only be better at cpu rendering like blender, c4d, v-ray etc. :)

Wow I've never been this early!! Hahaha "no, we don't like RGB". I'm planning on building this in a Phanteks P600s Eclipse case with a dual fan config Noctua D15s Chromax black and white instead of the beautiful AIO you opted for. I would love to use white Corsair Dominator ram sticks, but I know they will be too tall for the NHD15s in a dual fan configuration. If I move the second fan to the back instead of the front (where it would be blocking the ram), how will this affect airflow? Cpu temps? Thanks in advance!!

Great videos; I've been watching them for months. Where is the "setting up the software video"? I watched it this morning and now I can't even find it in my history. Was it removed? I had some questions and was wondering if I could send you a copy of my Amazon cart via Facebook to make sure all the components I was going to order will work and if you had any suggestions. Thanks for posting these awesome videos.

@larryhogston7970

@@theTechNotice Of course all the parts in your video are compatible, but not all the parts in your video are in stock or within my budget. When your link take me to a page and the item is not in stock, there is no actual item part number or description to go by; just the shortened link. It would really help if the actual item name/number was listed as well as the links to make sure the parts are the same ones and that they will work. I've got the total down to around $3,000 which is a lot of money to take a chance. Will the Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3070 OC Edition be as good as the Vision as it is not in stock and cost more? What about the motherboard. The closest one I could find was the Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC. Will it work? I found the Gigabyte Bb550 Vision D-P from another source; would it be the best? I was looking at the 750W Fully Modular Gamemax Power Supply for $79.99, but it's out of stock now. Would it suffice? That's why I asked the question. I'll try to muddle through it and watch more videos to see what other options I have. Thanks for your reply and your videos.

is this motherboard a good choice for 3D content creation? ie 3DSMAX/VRAY or go for an X570? I use a NAS drive for storage so only need one m.2 drive. Im a novice builder btw.
@theTechNotice
@theTechNotice 3 жыл бұрын
So motherboard on it's own doesn't give you any performance, but ability to have more bandwidth for some components like m.2-s. like a better chipset might give you more pcie 4.0 m.2 options where's this mobo only gives you 1. Depends which NAS you have and what IO the NAS has, if you need 10GBE port then possibly some other boards would be more useful, if the NAS has a TB3 then this MOBO is the best for you!

The little plastic “adapter” that goes between case IO little cables and the IO connector on the motherboard *tends to fail*. Many years ago I almost throw away a $300 dollars Asus ROG motherboard because that plastic in-between part failed and it took me a lot of time to identify that it was the source of the problem. Because of this I only recommend it (for convenience) for testing that everything works, but I strongly recommend that people remove this little low-cost-part (for reliability) once their computer is fully assembled. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for the detailed video!

Hello! I want to ask for your help. I want to buy a new motherboard and cpu, but I don't know which motherboard to choose. I'm a 3D animator, so I need a PC that's powerful. I looked at the Asus ProArt Creator 10g and MSI prestige creator motherboards. I'm afraid of Asus because now I have a Rampage V Extreme motherboard that's broken and my brother also has a Maximis Hero that's not working properly, I also hear a lot of complaints about Asus, but MSI creator needs an AMD cpu and I prefer Intel buy. What high quality and performance motherboard do you recommend and which cpu? Rather intel or more AMD? Which type is within these? Thanks for the reply!
