This is how I built an aviary under the back deck for the cockatiels, parrots, and quail.
in this start to finish video, I provide a few tips and reasons why Ive selected certain materials and I show you how I built it.
The build was simple and relatively cheap.
I hope it helps you when you start planning your aviary.
I hope that you can also help other by providing your tips in the comments below.

I love that idea about the branch holder thing. I am going to try that, because my budgies keep chewing through the perches and making them fall to the floor and the quails don't like living in danger of having branches fall on their heads.

What was your total build cost, and what mesh did you use? How's it holding up these days, now the parrots have moved in? I'm trying to see if Bunnings Trade is pulling my leg with build cost estimations. Where did you source your materials?
@AdventurePrimal
@AdventurePrimal Жыл бұрын
If i recall, the total build cost was around $800. The cage is still in great shape. The birds have not damahed it and no rodents or snakes have gotten in. The mesh is the standard 12mm avary type. I bought it from a landscape supplier not bunnings. Shop around online. You will find it at better pricing than bunnings. The aluminium tube and joiners i got from an aluminium supplier. I think i said the suppliers name in a prevoius post. Again shopping around gets better pricing than bunnings.
