Since it encourages you to go wide i would grab some hate bears especially the new vampire charismatic Conquerer. Helps deal with artifact ramp and treasures and produces tokens!

Nice video. I personally find the a combination of token generation and goading as a finisher to be the most interesting build for her.

For the Token strat i would also put Neyali, Suns Vanguard for extra card draw and Otharri Suns Glory for even more bodies on the field which will synergise well with both Odric and Aurelia.

Yeah new Aurelia is pretty sweet. Some Authority of the Consuls-type effects (OG Urabrask would be so good) to slow your opponents down from putting up blockers would be nice, and will help you to essentially play a turn ahead of everyone in terms of combat. Also, I feel that Taunt the Rampart would be a good option for getting attacks through. You can kind of look at it as “tap down all your opponents’ creatures” plus some, since they can’t block.

Oh yeah Taunt is very strong....in most cases probably game winning or something close to it.

I noticed you’re missing valor in akros which is a nice backup to goldnight commander. Same cmc and effect but more durable as an enchantment

I've been looking for a reason to make a Boros token deck, and while Anim Pakal immediately struck me, I think the obvious Aurelia token build seems like it'd be fun too!

21 life with lifelink is pretty good. Plus a card draw

Question. I have a big pod. Normally 5/6/7 people. I get jumped a lot. How do I make sure she doesn’t keep getting removed?

Crap loads of protection? My really strong aurelia deck runs like 10 pieces of protection. Blacksmith skill and faiths shield are 2 really budget friendly options that i like also angelic renewal and bolt bend as well. More expensive are teferis clever concealment, also gaurdian of faith. In Aurelias case, creatures that grant protection are gonan be helpful, bastion protection, mom, any of the sacrifice to protect type stuff.

Im going more of the token theme, with just a sprinkle of goad (Mainly just the big finisher type spells) to help close the game if the board is clogged.

Yeah tahts a really solid way to go about it. Mob rule might also be a really good inclusion there as well.

Honestly she pairs really well with a lot of different cards, but certainly those as well. The life gain strategy seems very interesting to me with her, Id like to try it after I get through some of the other builds.

Myriad Creatures + Extra Turns is the route I am exploring.

I don't think Myriad works, the tokens enter the battlefield already tapped and attacking, so Aurelia doesn't see them for her trigger. 😅

Note that myraids by themselves wont get you the attack triggers due to timing issues.

Check out Otharri - has lifelink, has a assemble the legion effect that is WAY more abusable - lots of fun

Ive played a bunch of Otharri, surprised i couldnt remember that one off the top of my head. Still it is weird that were at 50+ boros commanders and like 3 of them lifelink even though its a very on color keyword.

I was hoping they would reprint Rick, steadfast leader as Odric but instead we got a garbage vampire. At least they printed Greymond so I won't have to use a walking dead card. Excited for this commander though I'm looking more for token and vigilance with a touch of lifelink. Never been a fan of goad as I play a lot of 1 v 1.

I pulled a copy of Greymond and he’s been pretty fun to run as a commander. Real shame they couldn’t have made him Odric, but looks wise Greymond is growing on me.

Wow. I just paused it to read it and understand what this thing actually says. This thing is completely busted. If you force people to make tokens and then goad all their creatures a bunch of times, it's gg. The card draw mechanic is insane lol
