He said he just wants something simple, again I'm new to this all but I want to do a good job. His boat is a little bigger too. My next project is to build some sort of crab trap roller hauler. I don't like rubbing the rope against the side of my rubber rub guards the rope cuts into it if the trap is heavy enough so I have to bend over and pull to keep it off the side. Also a roller helps shed some of the water out of the lines as it comes aboard. I was thinking about chopping apart a bicycle front wheel and using part of the rim as a rope rub guard and the hub as a roller attached to 2 pieces of angle iron(90°L's) for mounts. It wouldn't cost me anything but would look ugly as F. Might just buy a small bow roller and use 2 90°pieces of aluminum to mount it, that way I can mount it out far enough I don't need a rope rub guard. Any thoughts on a diy version pot puller?

He only does steps if he can measure them . Because if something is measured wrong and they want their money back he gets stuck . And he does it on the side

You can call the Great Outdoors in Cherryville NC and you'll have a better chance probably . I know the shipping would be high for him . They are made from 5/8" steel so they aren't light you know

This video gave me a bad case of band saw envy the way it cuts through steel, makes my cheap Harbor Freight one look like a Lego construction.

Help. I need you to do a DIY video for us please. I have a kayak and want some rod holders (like Scotty) to screw down. I am not talking about the pvc rod holders that people have made for transporting rods. rather I mean the rod holders that u put rod in when u are actually fishing. I have looked on KZfaq and there are no videos showing how to make these. I just bought a fishing kayak and it has pre drilled holes made for store bought devises. But they are expensive and don’t line up anyway. Thanks so much. I love your videos.

www.cabelas.com/product/SCOTTY-SIDE-MOUNT-ROD-MASTER-II/3087750.uts Doesn’t have to be this one. Just one of holders you screw down down onto top of kayak. The base will stay screwed down permanently, but the rod holder can detach. It would nice if u could adjust it some for different angles etc.

Any idea on costs? Just a range is fine. I am not holding anybody to numbers as it’s highly variable.

I'm pretty sure they are 400 for the 3 stepper . But he only did it if he can measure your trailer .
