I just spent the better part of 3 days looking on KZfaq for how to build and install my first drawers using drawer slides. A frustrating endeavor to say the least because no one wanted to just explain and show the easiest method. They all want to over complicate it for a beginner by installing fancy contraptions with tricky and expensive slides. Then I came across this video, and after watching it a few times, learned how to size and build the drawer, learned how to choose the slide length I needed, and then to top it off, learned how add drawer fronts to everything. Just came back from Lowe's Hardware with the Euro style slides for the drawers, picked up the plywood, and getting ready to build them for my cabinet under my saw. The same thing happened when I built the Flip Top tool cart you built in another video. I built it exactly like you said, and it came out perfectly. Thank You!

I modeled my miter station after yours due to it's simplicity and functionality, now on to the drawers. I positioned my drill press on the opposite end and will have space for the shop vacuum underneath the miter saw, and a pancake air compressor, ( which allows me space to make a drawer for Kreg stuff), and soon to be a mobile base for a router table. Thank you for your help, Phil

I love the look of these drawers. I have also used Euro slides in my shop. Their cost is significantly less than the ball bearing variety. I did overload one drawer and caused a bend, but I was able to repair the slide and then remove some of the weight and the problem was solved. I had tried to store large containers of Craig screws and large containers of concealed hinges. Thanks for the video.

Using two pieces of the stock is a great idea. I just added shims to some drawers as the baltic birch I used was from different places and were different thicknesses. Two drawers fit perfectly but the other two were too narrow.

Great video. My only reservation are the euro slides. Whoever built the cabinet drawers in my bathroom used something that looks exactly like the euro slides and they’re kind of weak and easy to bend and damage. For a work shop I would prefer slides that are a little stronger. But the rest of it is great. Unlike the elaborate and unrealistic complexity that some KZfaqrs show in their videos this is actually something a residential DIYer can do. Great job, though I think I’ll try to see if there are more durable slides that can work with this.

5/6/2019 USA Grandpa Bill: I am 71 years old, and now experiencing admiration and respect. Your efforts here are a genuine model to all. Your high quality belongs in schools. In my eyes, you are a national treasure. There is not one aspect of your concept, execution, video editing, enunciation, the overall presentation that interferes with the transfer of knowledge.
