How to Build Smart - Crossout Basics Guide (Gameplay PS4)

My 'Play Smart' video got quite popular. But before I make more of these I want to take a look at the basics of building. Nothing new if you're a seasoned veteran but a lot of hints and tips for the struggling newer player :) Enjoy!

You probably won't read this since it's an older video, but here goes! I always attach wheels, tracks, whatever to at least 2 frames instead of one. For example, 1 4x1 and 1 4x1 combined, and the wheel goes in the middle. That way you don't lose the wheel if you lose just one frame. I always lose wheels faster than frames!

Thanks to this vid I was finally able to make something that didn’t fall apart in 3 seconds. Very basic quad piercer on favourite, but the advice on framing helped out a lot. One request I have is perhaps a tutorial on armour placement. Not necessarily spaced armour, but where specific pieces would best fit on particular builds, and the advantages of one factions armour over another’s :)

Short, simple straight to the point and easy to understand. Well done. Also if your build allows it try putting and extra frame between explosive parts on the bottom side. I think it helps soak up some of the damage and will give you another weld point for some parts

Lately I’ve been layering frames a little, similar to how builders will using a trash piece as a gun mount and strap tougher pieces to it; I like being able to move after losing a wheel and its frame, just so long as I’m not freighting a whole lot of frame weight Interconnecting or ‘weaving’ is the most critical feature of your armor; every armor in history has some kind of weave

Good vid. They really need to fix nuetrino so it can zoom in twice. And the goliath tracks is bugged and you cant build on both of em.

Could u do in depth armor for varius builds like ima spider player got my life up 2 4600 ish but get recked by specificly nades barrles arnt even that bad but nade launchers ughhh lol 😀

Can you make a video specifically about armoring the vehicle? I'm having trouble reaching 1800 dura without going over 12 000 kg, and I've seen builds with almost double the durability, without going over 10 000 kg.

It's really cute how obsessed you are with that doppler placement. You really have to mention it twice in as many videos? =) Yes, it's not the best place for it. But as there is no room underneath the vehicle and getting attacked from behind is pretty much a death sentence for this kind of build anyway, I see it as a necessary evil. You know, compromising! If the battle goes *that* much sideways I really don't care about the doppler anymore.

Offering a hug is mean? =) So you are saying it's completely coincidental that I got brigaded just after my snarky explanation? It's just strange, ya know. My channel is small, I see every little change. ^^ Look, I'm always sarcastic. It even says so in my channel description. I understand that not everyone gets or even likes this, but it's part of my channel and a lot of people seem to love it. And you know, I even agreed with you! It's not the very best place for a doppler but I also explained why I did it! Was that mean too? ^^ Please don't take my channel (or me) too seriously! I'm just having fun and you should too! =)

Don't you know? Honking once means 'get out of the way', twice means 'hi friend', three times means 'plz kill me'. JK of course. I'm sorry, I don't remember attacking you and I usually don't do it without a good reason. Was probably a misunderstanding of some sorts. Sorry in any case. :)
