I honestly believe tendon strength is partially the reason them Northern Euro type folk dominate strongman things (i think theres a ethnic group there that for lack of better word is just tendon strong their built more solid robust in that way) that and height (and obviously their all one of the two fast twitch muscle fiber types those athletes at least) oh and muscle belly length and leverages partly... Cause always thought cause West Africans tend be fast twitch dominant type humans birth greater percent them than any other ethnic group theyd be little more represented in Strongman or even Strength Sports like powerlifting in general, i know part of its access and culture but also do think something about it is merely frame tendon type. I think lotta WestAfrican folk could excel in Olympic Weightlifting but then when you get to strongman stuff raw strength not just strength and power speed, think this where tendon strength really comes into play, cause its all well and good being strong muscularly and neurally in the mind but if your tendons arent strong enough to take those forces putting through them either all by yourself or externally you could run into injury or injuries to tendons basically break yourself meaning just never really hit your strength ceiling.

I got patellatendonitis from playing too much Basketball and the medical professionals in germany just gave me rest and painkillers. I've rigged up a pull up station with rings and a heavyt bag in my back yard to make up for the lack of outdoor space as I prefer outdoor workouts to in doors at the gym and it costs less. One thing to add to this video is adequate rest. In my experience, a deload week where you do lower weight, lower reps, or even no exercise at all does wonders for recovery. I've read studies where it can even increase growth, but I'm primarily doing it to reduce the risk of injury and fatigue.

Hey, this is an awesome video! However I didn't really get how I can combine tendon training with muscle strength training? I want to have stiff tendons and alleviate some of the pain, but I don't want to neglect my strength training and lose progress. There was a phase when I left chest to wall hspu for doing isometric bent arm press just to get back to chest to wall hspu and becoming very weak all of a sudden. I want the best of both

Thank you for this content Brother 🙏👊 I train traditional martial arts and this is making me realize how those martial arts are mostly focused on developing tendon power rather than muscles! Since we usually go for time in martial arts. What is your take on adding weight vs addind time to the isometric holds? Again thank you for this information 🔥🐉🫡
@TheJackedVegan
@TheJackedVegan 3 ай бұрын
Yes! They do this in a lot of martial arts! For example horse stance is an isometric that also builds tendon strength 🔥 once 20-30secs holds are relatively easy i would up the weight to keep intensity high (remember to take care when increasing)

it may be different for tendons, but in muscle it isn't micro-tears that signals muscle growth. Its mechanical tension that is the main driver of muscle protein synthesis. while micro-tears do happen due to exercise, the presence of such tears do not mean that muscle is growing.

I tried fixing it myself in majority of my free time but couldn't quite get there. Finally started seeing a hand therapist earlier this month and I'm already on track to being back on the bars soon. Had a huge knot in both my bicep and forearm I had never really noticed (somehow). I got a question for you Jacked! What do you think of weighted Calisthenics? I don't believe I have seen you do extra weight compounds. Will you make a full video on the topic at all?

I’ve never encountered this but I would first look at your technique. Is there something you were doing to cause extra stress on your ribcage/chest? Was your activation good in the majority of holds? Or was it simply too much planche work for the area? Those questions much help lead you to some answers! Hope it helps 🙏🏾
