In this video I show you how to make a rubber prosthetic with a "Build Up' technique. The inspiration for this make up was the original Miss Shock character created by Bob Burns back in 1959

Wow Thanks a lot guys I appreciate it.It makes the time it took to make this worth it. Someone even like my silly Miss Shock song. I figured if I did my own song I wouldn't get into trouble like I did on the Sally video. The make up took about an hour to put on and I made the appliances over two days working a few hours each day.

All of the credit for the design goes to Bob Burns. I'm happy to see that his design from 1959 still effects people so. Way to go Bob!

Having someone so big in this industry posting is so awesome, we have no shortage of beauty make up artists with years under their belt (Lisa eldridge, Charlotte tillburry, amongst others who are pros) but I think you're the first serious special effects professional and its so great to get tips from you.

The boy who devoured every issue of Famous Monsters and treasured his growing Aurora Universal model collection can be seen in this tutorial. The countless hours spent trying different types of adhesives with various materials, much of it found in his house. Developing his own techniques of makeup application over the years. Displaying an endless imagination with a ravenous desire to learn. You can definitely see the boy at work here still having the time of his life. Bravo!

One thing I loved about this vid is that as soon as the eye area started to come together, you can tell you're the same master craftsman that created one of my all time fave screen monsters, the incredible melting man. Thanks again sir for this and all your creations.

Hello Rick Baker, I just seen The Tingler and loved it cause I’m a Vincent Price fan. And I’m also your biggest fan because you have inspired me to be a makeup artist especially when it comes to creating monsters. And this one you did “Miss Shock” such an amazing job. Also, thank you. You’ve also taught me about using a paintbrush with latex, that you can easily wash it.
