15 lakh car loan on 8.5 perct interest rate for 5 years - Total amount to pay 18.46 lakhs. Same amount, 15 lakh put in FD for 5 yrs at 6.5 perct gives back 20.70 lakhs. Total benefit of around 2 lakh. Then why not on loan. If i am missing something, please guide.

Totally agree with you guys to buy a vehicle in cash. You feel so relaxed not to be bothered about monthly payment. My current car is my 7th car in the last 30 years and I bought all of them in cash whether it was a used car or new. Never ever get into the debt trap.

Humne isliye Brezza na leke full cash pe Wagon R li kyunki humare paas bas 7 lakhs hi tha dene ke liye. Ab ya to 7 lakhs DP deke 7 lakhs ka 5 year ke liye loan pe Brezza le letey ya phir jitna cash tha utne ki gaadi letey. Bahut soch samajhke decide kiya ki abhi Wagon R le letey hain phir har maheene savings karke ek din full cash pe Brezza lenge Wagon R ko us time exchange mein deke. Wagon R ki resale value bhi achhi hai so 3 years baad bhi jyaada nuksaan nahin degi.
