One Question Eg. If we cut section at bottom , we get 4% steel. For same column we cut section at lapping zone then we get greater than 4% steel (>4%) at that time IS code lap condition fail or not please say ( and for 6% steel at bottom and lap zone)

You have explained it such a way that even non technical person can also understand it well. Kindly get me one clarification: Why the tie bars/stirrups have not been considered while calculations %age of steel. I hope you will respond to it
