Chances are your Betaflight configuration needs a voltage and current calibration. This is a very important calibration and it should not be skipped. This will help you know when the gas tank is really on "E" or not.

Great Video John on how to take a lot of the guess work on getting Volts and Amps because when flying you dont want a quad flying to far out to get back

Hi, i have battery ( GEPRC 3300 6s ) there is an info 22.2 V. When i checked on the meter and charger I have 25,1 V. I went on scale to 56. I have recharged 3 times battery. And I missed a lot every time. Do we check battery when is full/storage. Help me please

not sure what's going on but something messed up in my bnf nazgul hd. after I do the voltage callibaration it doesn't help because even with id idle it constantly fluctuates around 3 volts. I think i must have fried something but not sure how to troubleshoot it. Got any advice for me?

Hmm...make sure your firmware is up to date, that BF is up to date, and that your board provides a current meter.

@@RCVideoReviews I’m on BF 4.2. Good point about the FC board. I did not realize that some FCs don’t have a current meter.

Since i dont get that OSD screen,using DJI, should i simply measure the battery at start and finish, to get the "Used MAh" number?

i have a 6s build speedybee v3 stack over 22 volts thru a 55 amp stack the xing2 1755kv motors oscillate jitter effect I have tried everything in pid i have same motors on a cheap tmotor stack 6s work fine mabey a faulty gryo ..voltage regulator off ??? ????? I had another speedybee v3 never had this issue

What about the battery capacity? 2200 mAh on your screen .. Do you use the advertised battery capacity or how many mAh you use or some other number (eg. less than batt capacity) so that when your OSD shows a percentage of mAh used or left you are relatively safe?

I usually don't go by mah which is just calculated from current draw and time. I prefer to use voltage. I usually go to 3.7v/c - 3.75v/c during flight which usually winds up being 3.80 after rest. You can push your batteries a little harder if you want, but that's what I do.

I used to be in Arizona. I've flown pretty much everything: Long Range FPV, Quads, Helis, Sport Planes, Pattern Planes, Jets, 3D. I'd say I've touched on most branches of RC flying.

Thanks for the video! So how about that static amp draw? I have a high static as wel and I see different total amps when I fly 1 pack on 30% or 1 pack at 70% throttle. So I guess that has to do with that high idle amp draw. So I guess at lower throttle the displayed amps are probably too high and in the higher throttle range the displayed amps are too low. What do you think?

I really don't understand your 30% 70% example. Static will always be higher than dynamic (by about 10%) as the motor unloads in-flight after the initial thrust. In any case, I would suggest following the video, use the actual measured data from flight for the most accurate calibration.

@@RCVideoReviews grate ! it works now. Although for some reason my charger is showing that it puts in 1600(and more) mah in a 650 6s .... I guess because of the balancing..? do you have any feedback on this?

What if your charger is really simple and only shows voltage level while charging?

Then you've got to make a decision. Stick with what you have and do what you can or find a charger that gives you all the information you need to perform the calibration.
