How to Calibrate Your Cricut Cutting Machine for Print then Cut
If you are the owner of a full-sized Cricut Cutting Machine, then you already know what can happen when you are ready to cut out an image that you have spent time either uploading, or creating in Cricut Design Space.
At some point, you will need to Calibrate your Cricut Cutting Machine!
Sometimes, everything goes perfectly with our printer and then when it is time for our Cricut to work it's magic...there is no magic. It can frustrating. Let me demonstrate up close and personal, all of the steps to get your Cricut Cutting Machine calibrated for successful print then cut projects, like stickers, photo transfers, sublimation, and so much more.

Thank you so very much I called Cricut Customer Service the lady was no help at all It’s a shame they get paid to do a job that they cannot do or are to lazy to do. I have to come onto KZfaq find your page and to get the correct information my Cricut is cutting exactly like it’s supposed to thank you my daughter 18th birthday party is in 3 days and I have so much printing and cutting to do. I have watched 20 videos nobody tells you what to do when it doesnt calibrate correctly. MY lines are not cutting anywhere near where they should. My basic problem is it cuts 1 inch too high. Going crazy

Are you lining the top of the page to the top line on your cutting mat and the left side on the far left line on the cutting mat?

This whole time I thought I was subscribed to your channel, now I am officially!! Been watching your videos for a while, love them and your personality as well. Having problems with an image cutting out , it was cutting perfect, than all of a sudden it's cutting way off. I tried calibration which has fixed this issue in the past. The only thing I did different this time I was lazy and didn't hook up my inkjet printer, so I used the sublimation printer to print the calibration page so I'm redoing it from my inkjet right now. Hopefully then it will cut out my image correctly again, pray for me! Lol.

I don't think it's bad to use the sublimation printer. Have you tried adding matte scotch tape to the registration lines?

You make it look so easy. I can't even make it make a cut. It does the initial scan and then says there is an error. It worked. Then I got a new desk and had to rearrange my office, so, it was moved. I am sure it actually needs calibration. But I don't know what step I am missing that will make it start cutting again.

This is indeed helpful and handy to do. I do mine once a week. Sometimes 1 time is enough and other times it takes 2+ more to get it right.😊

I have been having the same issue and called Cricuit. They are sending me a new machine. It is extremely frustrating, I have a order that I was hoping to have done this weekend and can't accomplish with my Air 2, I need the Explorer 3 to cut the stickers and I cannot get it to calibrate. So I am stuck until they send the new machine :( Good Luck to you.

I just bought the Explorer 2, having a bad time calibrating. I do not have the three lines at the top left or right? I have Premium Plan I put a project as it says, mirrow, face down and it says the sensors can't read it. Your calibration templet worked great, but it still doesn't cut the project ?

If you choose yes instead of no and enter your choices it will go ahead and cut the large square. If I choose no all mine does is make me print a new sheet. It doesn't cut the lines on the top and side.

After you calibrate, do you have to keep the mat loaded in the machine while you put your design paper on the map? Or can you take it out?

I only take mine out after it gives the notice from the computer and I am sure the square cut perfectly.

thank you for this. according to Cricut, unfortunately there is a print then cut bug. My machine won't even get passed the scanning portion. the person I spoke with yesterday, said that the bug has been ongoing since May.

@@prueloone Hi, they unfortunately did not give me any solutions, or advice. Only that it is an ongoing software bug and it's the longest bug they had.

Hey quick update: the hamburger menu no longer exists! To fint the calibration: click the down arrow at the top by your username-> Settings> Machines-> select your machine next to "Machine Calibration"-> Start-> Print then Cut Long way around but I found it!!
