In today's video I'm going to show you the finished carbon fiber roof and a little suprice with the front bumper. Some updates on the engine and GTR manifold.

For this project, I used Nils Malmgren epoxy resin and 2x2 twill weave carbon fiber to get that awesome look. You can find it in the links below @Carbix.se

Very cool Iv done lots now even a steering wheel lol Getting ready to do my roof just finished my wing mirrors. And did my front splitter. In chopped carbon. Then at the ends I cut the letters out rx8 and fitted led lights to show through at night

Definitely leave the antenna off, it looks much cleaner that way. Keep up the great work, its been so interesting to follow you through this build

Easy choices, scrap the antenna and make one single-piece engine cover entirely out of carbon fiber molded from the parts you have.

Thank you for your feedback and many who agree to skip the antenna but also to have the carbon fiber engine cover.

Paint the engine in the same black recipe as under the car, and cover the cover with carbon fiber. Make other details in brushed aluminum.

I know this is late but, apply some release agent to the area you don't wan epoxy to stick to (areas is may run off to). If you don't have this, you can also use Vaseline (petroleum jelly). This will prevent tit from sticking and you can easily break any runs off of it.

@@MagassDesign Yup! Glad you replied so others can see this in the comments and hopefully prevent/reduce problems. I've been working with carbon since 10 yrs old doing prosthetics and pointers like these have helped tremendously

Skippa antennen, mkt mer cleant utan😁 gillar kolfibern som fan, kör liknande tema på motorn som du gjort med resten och motorkåpan i kolfiber 😁 kämpa på med de du gör🤟

Tack snälla man för din input och tack att du tog dig tiden att skriva. Känns som om många är inne på mitt spår att skippa antennen. Även många som är inne på motorkåpan i kolfiber, man kan ju aldrig ha för mycket kolfiber, eller =) Ha ha...

I have never seen carbon being laid over metal panels before. I really like how its coming out, with your usual attention to detail. I was a boatbuilder so have used carbon and peel ply before so it brought back memories. Im not sure about the antenna. Maybe leave it off for a clean look.

Om det bara är FM och AM signal du är ute efter så kan du köpa en aktiv glasantenn. Den kan du bara gömma någonstans innanför innertaket eller bakrutan.
