I spent a few days in beautiful Dorset in the South West of England with a very talented friend and full time craftsman Martin Hazell
In this video he shows his technique for carving beads out of green wood to attach to necklaces, kuksas, etc, in this particular example he uses Elder
To view more of Martins work and that of his brother and wife, feel free to check out his Instagram - / mr_the_creature
To connect with Martin personally reg the work he does feel free to speak to him via Facebook - profile.php?...
As always I appreciate you watching
Peace
Zed

Three years agonthis video inspired me to plant two elders in my back garden. I now have to find a recipe for elder wine. Last fall I got 2 lbs of flowers for cordial, and still had 18 lbs if berries later in the fall. Wildly productive plants. Also made some beads this year finally.

Hi there Zed. I am impressed once again by your humility bro. I mean your willingness to share and pass on credit. It's a good way. I liked the kuksa mug. What was the wood it was carved out of again.....how is it spelt? Fantastic beads after....i really enjoyed the process. He certainly ended up with a mighty petite bead. Good to wear especially the sacred way. Enjoyed that...another good program. All the best and many thanks for the links also....checking them out. Mark.
