You have to be able to say what the Bible says, know what the Bible says, and own up to it and then say, "This is the way it is." and then you deal with it, because that thing will keep tormenting you as long as you keep making excuses. 7. Now you have to learn and do this: You have to command the devil to leave your mind and body. And you have to command it to do it Now. When you begin to command, it is right then, not later on in the future. The mind needs to be free because the thought of sin can be there even when the act isn't. The mind controls the body. Your mind and body belongs to God not the devil. It is God's will that you be free. (1 Thessalonians 5:23, Romans 13:14) Once you're free, you have to start recognizing your Triggers. Certain actions, certain things, even certain memories can trigger you. Make no provision for the flesh. Get rid of whatever is around you that would be a trigger. Sugary/junk food, the television, - whatever it is that you are preparing for the flesh to fall, get rid of it. (Ephesians 4:27) Fill your mind with God's Word; get so busy doing the do's that you don't have time to do the don't's. Start replacing things with godly things. Matthew 12:43 - this is what you have to remember once you are free: a devil will try to come back with 7 more devils. Fill yourself with the Holy Spirit. If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, the devil will have no room in you. When you cast him out, he comes back to see what you've done with yourself and if he can come back in. When you tell them to go, tell them not to come back in.

thank you. yeah many Christians tend to blame the devil for everything they do. i believe that we also have responsibility's toward our own actions. we must be mature and also use the brains that god has given to us and of course by blaming everything on the devil means that he has the authority over everything.
