Would rock climbing grip strength translate to catching? I can grip onto the wall pretty well but I’m not sure how good I’d be at catching

Yes! Grip stretch is important for not only catching, but SECURING a catch while in traffic. Sometimes there will be DBs trying to hit the ball away while it’s in your grasp before you get a chance to tuck it away so it’s important to have strong hands

You could have also shown obj's catch, he tracked the ball with his eyes and attacked with his fingers

its like when i play football i can with 2 hands every single time but when i haft to catch with one hand on routes i always miss ball

I would say really focusing on following the ball through with your eyes and also really trying to attack the ball and grip it would help you.
