How to catch Gag Grouper in Florida for beginners like ME!

Күн бұрынI wanted to do a how to video focusing on how to catch Gag Grouper in Florida in preparation for the opening of Gag Grouper June 1st. I am by no means a Grouper expert, but I have learned quite a bit in my offshore fishing adventures and have had lots of luck catching Gag Grouper in these past couple years. I typically fish offshore out of Steinhatchee, Fl, but these beginner grouper tips can be applied to anywhere in the state of Florida!

What do you think about shallow water trolling, 15 - 20 feet deep, we do that in the crystal River area in fall and winter ?

I love trolling! We do it in some deeper water but I want to try the crystal river area this fall with my flats boat, I'm just a little nervous about rocks since I've only fished there once

@@NickeeGee take the channel out and troll the north public reef in 17' of water and you'll find some. Or the edge of the barge canal. No rocks to worry about if you don't leave the channel heading out. Launch in the river somewhere, or the barge canal ramp.
