I know what your saying but theres 4 sharks still swimming around with hooks and tackle in there jaws...we use the smaller j hooks and very rarely see a deep hooked fish yes it has happened but we have always been able to remove almost all tackle and still safely release them..... but great video guys

Logie1973 if a circle hook goes down to the stomach or any other lip of flesh it's as likely to hook there as it is in the mouth. You can't give a fish long enough to let the hook reach the stomach. I do find circles more reliable than j hooks but that's not to say j hooks can't be effectively used.

Fun to watch. Question: how many total sharks per boat per day do you guys hook on average (when you target sharks)? Thanks.

Do you prefer to use mono or braid when targeting Mako sharks?
