Just followed your video for rebuilding the carb on my Jonsered 2065. My carb is Zama, but parts and procedure were exactly like the Walbro. Excellent concise how to video, many thanks. Now to reinstall and hope it runs better. This was my virgin rebuild and somehow the metering valve and spring slip into place on the first try.🎉 Your video is what the internet should be used for, good stuff! So glad I came across your site😊

Well, after your help getting my Stihl ms250 back running ( breakdown to replace impulse line) I just pulled out my dust covered Jonsered 450 thats been sitting in my cellar for decades and getting ready to tackle getting it back running. I found a new love in small engine breakdown and repair thanks to your help. I also have a Toro lawnmower thats been sitting in my back yard for decades also that I just put on the list but for a beginner I can't get too excited and just do 1 thing at a time. I am going to subscribe and get a free education on small engines. You've already saved me money on work I have been paying that a fix it shop to do. Thank you very much Doctor.

Nicely explained. I also have a Jonsered but I can't remember the model (and now I'm about 100 miles away from it, so I can't go and look it up), but what I do remember is that I have to service it and doing this looked a bit daunting to me, even when I've serviced other things at home, carburetor rebuilds included. Now, even if it's not the exact same model, which it's not since the choke is on the other side (and it doesn't disengage automatically), it doesn't look that hard. Thank you, the way you explained things really help.

Thank you for the informative video. I recently inherited my fathers Jonsered 52e and it hasnt been serviced in years. Sadly, I never learned how to rebuild a carb from him before he passed but im going to try it after watching your video.

I enjoyed watching how you replaced the carburetor kit and adjusted the saw. My two saws have been to a shop too many times and especially my Stihl chainsaw, which is the newest. I have had problems with them starting and running and the Stihl is the worst. I started it two days ago to test it, and it started and ran until I was sure it would work, then turned it off, and put it away. Today I attempted the same with my Poulan, but it didn't start at all. I may have flooded it, and will try starting it again tomorrow to see if it will start, and then check the Stihl saw also. The Poulan gave me the best service though, and I am tired of taking them to the shop each season to get them running. I did that last season, and my neighbor just helped me go get my two lawn mowers going, and it didn't cost me a fortune to do it.

Hi great video, in the Husqvarna factory we were not allowed to snip of the fuleline like that. We had to use a pair of scissors, just the same type you use to cut dog's claws... else the rubber could crack and might eventually slip off.

I am so old I remember sae30w in chainsaws. the oldest two cycle oil I still have is an oil named Staymix, which I used to by at my stihl dealer in Fitzgerald, ga. it was good oil and I used a ton of it through the years, usually at 40:1 in my Husqvarna and Poulan saws. back then, we were not to finicky about which oil we used - only that we mixed it properly. now we have to be very clinical with every tank of two cycle gas we make. I use nothing but stihl Ultra oil in all my two cycle gas and the oil is measured, exactly, at 2.6 ounces per gallon of premium non-ethanol gas. in the old days I just dumped the one gallon can of two cycle oil it in the gas can and pumped one gallon, more or less, of regular gas in the can

We live in a disposable society. When something breaks or doesn't work right, people just throw it away and buy a new one. I like fixing equipment that is still good just needs some tlc. There is a certain satisfaction to it, and you have history with it. Plus I like learning new things and overcoming a challenge. It ain't brain surgery.

My wife say's you have created a monster(meaning me..lol). Since watching your videos I have repaired a small crack @ the oil drain plug, rebuilt the carb and replaced the head gasket on my 97 Murray 12.5 hp riding mower(runs better than ever). I also found and replaced the leaking shaft seal on my 5.0 hp Murray pushmower and rebuilt carb on that, I am currently working on a Jonsored 2050e chainsaw and have 2 yardman pushmowers to rebuild and an old Snapper Hi-Vac ridingmower to work on, you think if I take up all the room in the garage (she can barley get her car in now) I might be able to get me a bonafide shop to work in for my new hobby and my old hobby which is blacksmithing. Your videos have definitely been a game changer for me, anybody that repairs mowers around here has a 6 month back up.

I live down here in the U.S. in Connecticut. I am very lucky to have access to gasoline with ZERO Ethanol close by in New York state only 30 minutes away. I just installed a new carb. kit for the carb in my Stihl BG85 hand held blower - I bought the blower brand new and have never run it on gasoline containing ethanol - it is 12 years old and the carb components were 100% original. For everyone reading this comment - Try to use gasoline that does not contain Ethanol - it is amazing how destructive ethanol is !
@danielrobert7181
@danielrobert7181 7 жыл бұрын
So true ! Ethanol will absorb moisture like crazy. No problem in your car where you go through the fuel tank in less than a week but most chainsaws or small motor appliances might very well be left with gaz standing for months. Avoid that crap at all costs !

Alex Beedie Who doesn't watch AvE? I've spent summers when I was a young lad in Minnesota, and they have the same language. It is a northern North America thing. It'd be hilarious for Dony to drop a chooch here and there. I've been waiting but he's pretty good. He may come from a slightly more posh family than Chris. I don't judge, I just speculate.
