The dressing removal process can be painful and it also can cause skin tears. Please consider using an adhesive remover to eliminate this unnecessary risk. Detachol is a fantastic option.

She is not aseptic. This video is missing that she needs to wash her hands and arms for at least 60 seconds to allow the antibacterial soap to start working. Using friction and a very aggressive wash is needed along with at least a minute each and every time she applies her alcohol sanitizer. Even after the 60 seconds, if your hands were put under a light you will notice the millions of germs left over. This can kill a patient not using proper aseptic techniques. Just ask the CDC, that is my training. Most hemo clinics use Nitrile exam gloves that are in a box and not sterile, nor do they hand out the bandages to shower with. I have seen nurses put on their non sterile blue gloves and then touch trash cans, pencils, door knobs and then change the sterile gauze without changing those nasty gloves. Why even wear a mask then? Also you can not have any Air Conditioning Vents blowing air and shut off any heaters, shut the doors and contain the environment. People die from mistakes. I should know, both my parents were killed on hemo and i am next.
