Seen them before. Would be nice if adaptors were available for different makes of trv. Thanks again, for posting.

It's a cool idea, but the "IMI TRV Insert Removal Tool" can only be used on a TRV valve body that has an insert with a 19mm hexagonal nut/shoulder, such as IMI, Altecnic, and Honeywell Valencia. Would be good if they could make adapters so it works with other valves too. Probably more beneficial to commercial workers who know which type of valves are used in the buildings they manage.

I see that tool on a Honeywell training course back in 2008. I remember them being expensive at the time. I think it only did Honeywell valves and one other brand. Possibly Drayton. Other than that it’s a drain down or snatch job.

It's a Herz trv head removal tool. I work in a hospital and was shown this a while ago. They specific to the make of trv. It's not a one tool does everything job.
Interesting. Surely not all makes and models are interchangeable, or are they?
@littlezen78163 жыл бұрын
Not sure that special tool is so necessary as this guy took out a TRV core without draining a pressurised system and used no special tools kzfaq.info/get/bejne/np6Ud9Cfksjedqc.html Not sure where to even buy TRV cores so this must be a specialist tool for specific TRV installations not run of the mill domestic installations.
@yensabi3 жыл бұрын
Nice one , but i dont think it would fit cheaper domestic valves as it looks manufacturer specific for the expensive commercial valves..... Cheers mate.....

Okay if you have the extractor, shut of tool. The angle of view would have been better, from the right, surely, because too much obscurity ... Especially from a first timer ...
