good video.. I usually pull the tool head out and then change the shell plate and locator buttons then insert new tool head. It leaves a little more room to work with the shell plate bolt for my big hands

I load in lots of 100, so I NEVER leave primers in the tube. I also never leave powder in the powder measure. At the end of a re-loading session I always return the powder to the appropriate original container. When I change the primer bar I lubricate the base of the primer bar with a little dry graphite. Rather that pulling he shell plate retaining bolt set screw all the way out, I just back it off until the shell plate bolt will turn. Less small pieces to drop. I had a problem the other day with the small spring that retains the shell case in the sizing/depriming station hanging up in the open position after inserting a fresh case. I adjusted it several times with but it still kept hanging up. I finally pulled the spring clip, gave the hook end a few strokes with a small diamond file to remove a slight burr, and problem solved. I was sizing and de-priming 1000 x .308 WIN mil-crimped surplus brass and late in the process the press started to “feel wrong” at the full sizing depth. I thought the die was dirty as I had a similar problem re-sizing mil-surp pulled-down Lake City ‘69 .30-‘06 brass (it turned out that the case necks were lined with asphalt water proofing that was pulled out by the expander ball and jammed into the top of the resizing die; a careful cleaning with mineral spirits and cotton swabs corrected that.) Well,cleaning the die on the .308 project did not correct the problem. I eventually tracked it down to an ejected primer that missed the primer cup and landed on the ram lever arm and got smashed in the zero clearance space, preventing a full length stroke. Primer out, problem solved. I like the 550B because there are a limited number of processing going on, and it is easier to keep track of each step. In almost 25 years I have never had a problem that required replacement parts of a call to customer service.

Dropping that ball bearing down the bolt hole. . . Been there. I use a tool that is actually for lifting canning lids out of boiling water. A six inch plastic wand with a magnet on one end.

Good informative video! Is it worth the $82 each to get a powder measure for each caliber? I reload 4 pistol and 2 rifle calibers. Seems that storage would be an issue as well.
