I’m sorry but I can’t believe you put the C clamp right on your caliper not realizing it would chip your red paint or damage it. You could’ve put a towel or some other material even cardboard in between.

Good point. Have to be careful with the clamp. My calipers stay covered with MGP caliper covers. I may powder coat them someday.

Atomic Z06 ok that’s good cause I was freaking out. I just painted my Z06 calipers to Ferrari Yellow. I can’t post it here but you can check it out on my Instagram MarcVisuales. Thank you for replying. I have Forgestar CF10 rims.

you can push those in by hand. Not even a need for a clamp

so you didn't replace your rotors? i ordered a whole set of pads and rotors myself since you're supposed to at least turn your rotors and all the shops i called wouldn't do it on cross drilled rotors

Is there a way to change the pads without removing the calipers? I thought you could change pads by removing the pins on the caliper and then pull the pads out the top of the caliper. Just picked up a 2011 z06 , haven’t had a chance to remove the wheels and check it out.

Herb1978 I believe that method is possible. But, everything I researched indicated that doing it that way would be much more difficult. The way I did it was a little tricky as well, but not too bad.

You can pull the pins with a torx bit but they break/strip very easily. Ask me how i know
