Hello , O-ring should be oiled before mounting, because of the friction . There is a possibility of incorrect sealing. Best regards

@@autodocuk What's the wrench size or model name of oil filter opener? For E240 w211. On your video- it's shown on 1:04, but you didn't mention.

One question,does the w211 have the same oil fillter wrench for all the cdi engines? For example 74mm 14corners wrench is it possible that it fits 2.7 cdi 2.8cdi and 3.2cdi engines .

Hi, I have seen some places use a pump device to remove the old oil instead of lifting the car and taking the oil out from underneath, it this considered very bad or is it acceptable?

Thank you for your feedback! Certainly, this method is considered as more convenient and effective than the average oil removal. Using a pump device one can take all the bits of oil out of a sump. Best regards, Autodoc.

my mercedes E320 2003 is consuming 2 liters of engine oil almost every 1700 miles... Is there something to worry about??? there are no leaks or blueyish smoke.... any advice please? a local mechanic suggested to use 10w40.... another mechanic suggested to use 20w50 to stop oil consumption!! my car has 110,000 miles on it. I can see you are professional, so I thought I could use some help... Thank you in advance.💖

I do'no if that's normal for that engine, but if the spec for the engine is 5w-30 then DON'T use -50 (see my comment to sundeep.... above) and also DON'T use 20W as then it would take much too long for the oil to get around at a cold climate start, which is when the engines wears (before it gets the oil). .... Going one step up from the spec on a high milage car with excessive consumption is probably worth the risk, but not more than one step. Needing a refill if you're doing Long Life intervals is normal I think.

For whatever reason my larger oil ring bulges out in a place. Replaced the filter and oring and same result. What gives. Too losse, too tight?

If your Benz is above 150k mileage then use 5-w-50 if it was under the best option would be 40! Mine runs very smooth because I follow these steps! 👍👍.

This is a W211, I do'no which engine. Mine is a E 200 CDI and it requires 5W-30. 5W-40 as used here is not something the engine designers would approve of, but if it's a high milage engine AND it's burning oil, then not much to loose and maybe more to gain by using a thicker -40 oil. But as my garage said "DON'T use a 50 oil". 5W-50 is for older simple engines, never ever put that on a modern engine engineered for a -30 or -20 oil. 50 is much thicker than 30, and todays engines are not designed for such a thick oil. What will happen in those narrow diameters and clearances when it gets something much thicker than it was designed for ?

For the 2.7 diesel engine, 6.50 liters of engine oil are required for replacement

Umm! Why did he only add 1qt of oil, close the hood & walk off with the cart? After draining all of the old oil, and installing a new filter.

@@delianmariusbratosin2786 Not all w211 have the same engine, the e280 for ex has a dipstick in the front of the engine.
