I guess they have done that on purpose for design... it's more like OCD from your side to have an issue with it.

@@Engineer9736 its not ocd, can you imagine having books, or tutorials how to complete chair from ikea and firstly you will have 10 pages of things and at the end of 10th page it would say. Oh yeah btw. these were the required parts to have in package.

Good video. Just one thing. The torque for the driveshaft/hubnut is wrong. It should be 316nm. At least on 98-02 models

Unfortunately, it is not possible to specify the tightening torque, this information can be found in the technical documentation for the repair of your car. AUTODOC

Good video for anyone who has a hydraulic press laying around. It would have been shorter to put a text on the screen for 5 seconds 'bring your car to a garage'

I put a few hundred into a cheap 12T hydraulic press. It is fine for this job if you have the knuckle supported properly. Now I can do some suspension bushes as well. I’ve used a medium sledge hammer before to pop out the inner and outer bearing. Use wd40 first and allow to penetrate. If I was to find one hard I could take it to any mechanic and it wouldn’t be expensive to have them do it.

:D Soo f*king professional. Two boits stripped :) Copper grease on driveshaft and bearing plate... Wanna cook bearing? Maybe try normal grease?

This video does not indicate the correct orientation of the wheel bearing for ABS brakes and specifically the internal magnetic strip inside the bearing - in essence the wheel bearing absolutely must be located with the magnetic strip to the outer side adjacent to the ABS sensor - further the circlip must be located to allow the ABS sensor not to be obstructed by it with the bearing face.. Ignore this at your peril and it will become very obvious when you can not reset the ABS sensor warning light on the dash (MOT fail) and will require a complete refit of a new bearing.. I made this mistake on both bearings (simple bad luck on a 50:50 punt with the fit orientation), I spent hours of testing, replacing ABS cables (both sides) and internet forum searches - to eventually come across the small group of others who made the same mistake... easiest way to identify the magnetic side of the bearing is a mild steel nail - it sticks to it and this face should be aligned / exposed to the ABS sensor. This video requires changing (ASAP) as most people have only discovered this problem by research after the effect and it is misleading and not very clear - I wonder how many people have had to buy another set of wheel bearings from AutoDoc directly as a result of this instructional video??
