Hi friend, some very specific questions you have there. Yes I have changed the thermostat (I have another video on my channel about changing the timing belt/water pump...so if you need to see how it’s done you can see). As for which brand of parts I used. I normally just go to the local car parts store and ask for the parts. I’ve never bothered asking for a certain brand...the glow plugs were Bosch brand so I consider them pretty good (I haven’t had starting problems for 2 years). Since a thermostat is such a simple part I wouldn’t worry about the brand. I would get Bosch glow plugs. I’ve also heard good things about NGK glow plugs. I’ve just done a quick search about NGK plugs and apparently they normally come installed on Japanese engines from the factory. Good luck.

I did change the timing belt and water pump recently but forgot to change the thermostat unfortunately (it's in a pretty hard to access place as you know). I'm planning on replacing the car in the not to far future though. The rust has a pretty solid grip on my 00 l200 from the previous owner not really caring much about the paint. Thanks again.
