Good video Major. The HB failure on 4.0 engines is fairly common especially when they get to over 200k miles. My 99 XJ failed around 240K miles but didn't throw the belt. instead, the HB walked forward enough to come in contact slightly with the mechanical fan and made a dinging metallic sound. Not a hard job to replace it.

@@MajorWeakness not too worried about the motor, but I’m more worried about my transmission and transfer case since the Jeep has 325000 miles on it. I’d like to get back up to Canada again this year and do some offloading to some crazy fishing spots. It will be interesting.

@overthehillandoverthemount2925 those transmissions are great but man that's a lot of miles!. I believe it's not to expensive to rebuild the transfer case

Shouldn’t that fan clutch have some resistance? Yours just spun freely both directions.

It has resistance. It's actually only a few months old. This Jeep runs cool compared to my other 4.0s. It's never hit 210 verified with manual guage as I didn't trust the dash guage lol

Stop making this kind of video if not so sure of what you are doing.for your information don't start your engine while the ECU still checking all of the sensor...I don't know if you know what that means
