Please do not think I am just busting your chops by saying this, but... it is so ironic that you refer to the emergency brake properly (it is NOT JUST A PARKING BRAKE for people who have a manual transmission), however, you then say that you are not replacing it because the truck is an automatic and you don't use it. But, my friend, that is really bad advice for people watching your video. The "emergency brake" is the only mechanical brake on your truck that does not rely on a hydraulic system that is one failed rubber seal (or one rust line that ruptures) away from you not having any brakes. I am grateful that you are trying to help people and that makes you one of the good guys in this world, so, please, go back and repair your emergency brake, even if you never ever use it again. It is always better to have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. No one ever planned to have their hydraulic brakes fail one day.

Those rear drums can be rusted on and take a bit of banging to get off. I have used a spray on lithium grease when installing the drum on the hub.

Really should start using you're parking brake it's there for a reason especially on a uphill or downhill parking cause the parking prawl with eventually get so worn it will either start binding when putting it in drive or break completely then truck gonna roll.

FYI, you want to remove those star clips when you put aftermarket wheels on your truck. Factory wheels have a relief cut to go around them. Aftermarket wheels do not. When you put an aftermarket wheel on, it will not sit flush against the rotor and put uneven torque on the studs. It will eventually cause your studs to snap.

What year was this truck? Just did tears on my 2004 and the new stuff didn't have the retractor springs. Inside pad on my truck were worn to nothing and outside pads are like new. These brakes were done in 2017. And my parking brake is crap, driver side sticks if I apply them. Not using them till that is fixed since it's a manual trans.

Just a question. How do you pass inspection if your E Break want hold? I’m in a safety inspection only county and they failed mine.

The pins on the bracket you cleaned up check those pin slides cause if they are froze to where they don't move in in out your pad will not release properly and wear out plus fuel economy will suffer man.
