I watched a few of these Durango cabin filter installs and this by far is the most detailed and easy to follow if you haven’t done one of these.

Easiest adjustment I've ever made on a lawnmower. This is one of those things where the cable isn't tightened enough out of manufacturing. After a few months the cable loosen ups and your blade belts will be very slow to engage. Loosen up the bolt shown in the video, pull the cable about 1/4" and you'll quickly discover the mower will operate better than the day you got it! Great video!!

I do because mine would hold water. But you can set these up with different angles so the water sheds off.

I love the pully idea for taking up the slack and getting it tight! I saw this video about a year ago and the guy used "porch swing springs" in order to create the tension to get it taught. Great ingenuity with both approaches! kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ipuph72bz82RnYU.html&t

I found play in the slip joint in the rear shaft causing the vibration at 65. The oe design makes it that once the wear starts it’ll only worsen. The aftermarket solutions offer serviceability and put the slip joint at the center bearing.

Do you think I can anchor the eye bolt and bolt clamp to a large, very large, maple? I am trying to create a "screen" in my backyard against a privacy fence to block out an unsightly and close apartment building.

I'm sure it would work as long as it doesn't kill the tree. Just remember it could stretch the sail on a windy day.
