This is a good quality video, however there are a few big and small errors. Having chosen to guide the audience through the steps via text instead of speech, there are a few areas where there was no text explanation, for instance when the technician removed the pad wear sensor. Allowing the brake caliper to hang on the brake line is a very bad practice and just unprofessional, putting a lot of tension on the brake line which was not designed to support weight. A proper practice is to either suspend the caliper on a suspension component (such as a trailing arm for instance) or use a cable or bungee cords to hang the caliper so that the weight of the caliper is supported by something else than the brake line.

Thank you for your comment. You are right, the calliper must be suspended by a special hook, in order to avoid damage to the brake hose. Best Regards, Autodoc team.

Do you not lubricate the sliders and metal to metal parts of the assembly to stop caliper seizing and squeaking. Also hanging the caliper on a bungee would prevent putting undue strain on the brakepipes

This is a prime example of how repair shops do a half arsed job! Brake parts not cleaned, no lubrication of pad ends on calliper, no lubrication of calliper guide pins, no check that fluid reservoir could take the back fill from the compressed piston. Wouldn’t want this guy working on my car!

What about the last wheel stud that he cross threaded ? Is the part 2 video on how to fix cross threaded wheel studs ? And whoever thinks car guys like bloody awful elevator music ... I'd rather hear him swearing at the pad clip that wouldn't go in to the piston !
