Loved the video, Great job. I own a 2000 series Tag and have never had Tag change the battery as i dont use it in water. I have always used a local watch repairer to sort this for me and only ever charged £5. They have now closed down and i will i think do this myself from now on, I bought the watch for my 40th so its now 17 years old and just on its 4th battery. I asked the watch guy at our sainsburys (Timpsons) i think. Anyway he looked at the watch and said it must be pressurised which i assured him it didnt as its never been done before and i have swam in it loads, he said right ok, If you want it to just seal to 100mts then they can do it in store, dont know ow they would do it to just 100 (as he said this must be the least as the heat from your wrist will cause a problem )when it states 200 mts on the watch. If i wanted it done to 200 then he would have to send it off, that i understand. Anyway he told me for him to change the battery in store it would be £94.58 i nearly fell over laughing. I can get it done through Tag for less than half that. So i think now in future i will do it myself and hope i get it right. haha. Thanks

Thanks but I would carefully mark the battery spring and movement with a fine point felt pen tip dot before removing ,also apply a little silicoln grease to the rubber seal with a cotton bud, also clean the dirt off first. with one.....a plastic tweeser is best used with coin cell batterys to avoid shorting them out

Thanks man - was having issues with the spring on a 2000 Pro. I did see different width and depts tabs but could not get it on - thought maybe it clipped on - anyway - will try again with my new knowledge.

What number eta movement did you use for this watch? I have the same watch , and where did you purchase the movement please? Also, can you do a video on changing the movement? And replacing the hands? And where can I purchase new hands?? Thank you. Great and informative video!!

Great instruction. My tag 4000 series works well but the lume on the hands and face is now rubbish could you perhaps show us how to do it? And tell us where to buy the tools and lume product….or do you sell it? Happy daze 👍😎

One I just did well did not go well as the wrong battery had been fitted that was a tiny bit thicker the cell was 377 the watch had stamped in side as 377/376 that is a bit thicker. My thinking is the neg tag has been pushed in to much.

I bought a battery for my watch to change myself. The new battery has an expiry date of 2023 on the back. Does that mean it will only last until 2023? Or does that mean it has to be used before then to make the most of the performance?

Typical way of how not to change a battery. Refuses to separate bracelet, uses metal screwdriver, drops bracelet on very sensitive coil. Really?? C’mon! Let’s do things right or let a professional do it.
