Thank you. I was heavy handed and snapped one of the clips when prying off the bottom filter cover. It's still ok as the bin keeps it down anyway, but that was silly by me. I washed my very dirty filters and even when dry they still looked bad, but the hoover is sucking as it should. I can even feel it pulling the carpet up like it did when it was new. Have ordered new filters anyway.

Out of all the vacuums I've worked on Dysons are the worst. Those little clips they use always break as the plastic gets older. They use 10 separate parts where one could have been used. I mean who designs a filter that you stick in place...how's replacing that a good design. When they were given design awards the awarding body never took maintenance into consideration. A Neumatic Henry is far superior.
