Nice video! I like the quiet/no sound with physically pointing out what is important. Nice break from the usual loud engine roaring and rock and roll intros on other creator videos. I'm trying this on my CL550...currently stuck on how to get the bottom air baffle to come off so I can release the clip holding the condenser and radiator together. I'll take another look at it today after watching this.

Wow incredible video quality, it is only 1080p but awesome quality. It felt like I was in person doing the work myself. Not a single word uttered but you did show where and what to take note of and how the fittings are held together. I hit a poor coyote and it took out my W211 radiator, bumper cover and lower grill. Except for the poor coyote's life, it is going to be a great DIY opportunity and your video gives hope. Painting the bumper is the next skill I need to learn. Thanks for posting a great video. Have a quick question. Dont you have to take the transmission cooler out? When you pulled out the transmission cooler line did you have an oil spill?
@legendarycars9997
@legendarycars9997 2 жыл бұрын
No you don’t have to take the transmission cooler out..Only down to allow to take out the 2 trans brackets..That’s connect to the radiator. First you take out the top trans line..Next you take out the trans brackets on both sides of the transmission cooler..Finally you have access to take the bottom trans line out! And there will be A little oil spill when you take out the trans lines.

I appreciate the videos, it’s helping me with DIY on my 07 E63. I was wondering, did you use a Nissens radiator for this replacement? And how has it held up so far? I really want to replace my radiator but haven’t been able to decide what brand to go with.
@legendarycars9997
@legendarycars9997 3 жыл бұрын
I use Delang it cost me $104 and the radiator has held up good so far👍 Nissens I believe is A good one and one of the most preferred brand because of its cost and quality..Cost around $230-300..Valeo is the OEM brand and it is around $300-400..I only went with Delang because of the price was super low at that time..But I always prefer OEM because if the part lasted A long time before it went bad..You can guarantee the part lasting A long time again!!!

How did you get the transmission cooler lines off the radiator? Mine are stuck in solid when I tried to remove them
@legendarycars9997
@legendarycars9997 3 жыл бұрын
You can put A nice thick flat head screwdriver In between the transmission lines and while holding the radiator..Push the radiator in the opposite direction that you are prying your flat head screwdriver against..Or buy you A can of [Blaster]!!!and spray It on the end of the transmission lines where the lines goes in the radiator..Let it sit for around 30 minutes to 1hour and try to remove the lines again..Hope this help!

Damn brother you did a great step by step !! ..how long you think it took you? ..the part that scared me the most was the front bumper removal 😖. I’m dealing with a leak on the side where the air hose connects to the radiator and it’s spraying like crazy into the air duct (drivers side) . I’m gonna give it a shot at replacing the radiator after watching your vid. But incAse I fail . Do you know how much a shop charges to change it? Thanks !

@@legendarycars9997 ok I’ve been studying your video my brother and I think I’ll give it a try. I just got done replacing the alternator (few days ago) so a couple of the steps are familiar to me. I have a question though, what about the transmission cooler lines on the bottom (facing the engine) is that what you removed right before taking the alternator out? . Thanks again!

@@firered03snake You good brother! Ask how many questions U like..The black piece that you broke see if U can super glue it back together and as long you can stick the transmission line In the radiator and place the Silver clip over the black grommet supporter..U should be good!👍

Did any transmission fluid spill out when you undid the lines? Also was it difficult to seat them back in?
@legendarycars9997
@legendarycars9997 Жыл бұрын
Yes..A little transmission fluid came out (not that much) when I took both lines out..The line at the top was easy..The line at the bottom was A little difficult..I had to put the line half way In..Then start the car..While transmission fluid is spilling out..I had to bump the head of the line with A hammer 🔨 to fit it in the right place of the radiator (to stop it from spilling out) I just couldn't put the line in the radiator without starting the car first..Like I did the top line.

Why did you have to start the car to put the line in? I’d didn’t want to go in with the car off? What it need pressure?

@@legendarycars9997 just did my radiator (E63 w211 as well). Thank you for your video, helped a lot. Just one thing to say : you don't need to remove the oil radiator 4 screws, because when you unlock the two bottoms plastic pieces, the 2 top one can be unblocked by rotating the oil radiator front to up
