Here's how to change the rear wheel bearing in a 2012 - 2015 Toyota Camry
Follow proper safety procedures. Perform this work at your own risk.
The MOOG wheel bearing and hub I purchased from Rockauto.com is part number 512454.
I recommend watching the video all the way through to make sure you have all the tools you will need, including a slide hammer.

Thanks for the video. Tackled this today. First time ever changing a wheel bearing. Never again lol. The struggle was real getting the bearing out of the backing plate. Was literally fused together with rust from 11 years 208k miles of PA winters.. my local mechanic doesn’t charge much so next time it’s going there. Not worth the time/hassle for me

My gf has a 2012 camry, the store brake check was gonna charge me 450$ to do this job. this seems easy enough just need a lil more tools for the job but should be fun ! Will be doing soon thank you. 👍🏼

I blacked out when separating the hub from the backing plate but I do remember screwing in the four bolts and whacking the ever loving shi* out of them till the hub came out. What a pain. Good luck my friends!

Thanks for the great video. May I ask a quick question? Were you holding the old hub with parking brake plate in you hand while hitting them with the hammer? Or is it ok to put them on something solid (like ground?) Just want to clarify before I try.

I would not want to do all that work and use a Chinese bearing.

the bolts didn't have any ant seize so why use it? leaving one bolt in helps in the removal of the hub assembly so the backing plate doesn't come with it and just the use of a hammer is sufficient. obviously in the rust belt region, more persuasion is needed. the connector doesn't come off in 2 pieces either. you have to get behind it with a small flat blade screwdriver and lift the tab to remove it. you do it your way and break the wires, you're screwed.

He did everything correctly, including disconnecting the electrical connector for the sensor. And anti seize is always a great addition when removing these bolts. I’m interested in seeing your video tutorial, @oldz70…
