How to Change Your Lawnmower Oil | Troybilt TB110 Push Mower | Briggs and Stratton 550EX | Easy DIY

In this short video I show you how to change the oil on your Troybilt TB110 push lawnmower. This process is similar to many other makes and models of push lawnmower and only takes 5 mintues. It is recommended that you change your mower oil once a year. Please remove your grass bag before you start for an easier experience.
You will need:
15oz 4 Cycle Engine Oil SAE30: ( www.lowes.com/pd/Briggs-Strat... )
Oil Pan
Cardboard
Paper Towels

I usually remove oil fill spout and with a turkey baster suck out all the old oil. Takes no more then a few minutes. Replace the fill spout and refill with oil. The reason I like this method better is because you don't have to worry about spilling oil anywhere and you can get most of the oil out.

I do this non stop while mowing and it doesn't make it run better. New oil most likely will.

They are no differnt id still change it in those engines the whole " no oil change" thing is a scam to get you to buy a new mower sooner

Let the lawn mower run until it runs out of gas. Let the engine cool down to warm (gives you time to gather cardboard, drain pan, cloth and the quart of oil) ... then proceed as instructed.

@Dominic Brown that's what I do. Just remove oil fill spout and siphon with a cheap turkey baster. Get all the oil out quick and no mess.

Is there not an oil drain on the under belly. I’m seeing all this crap about siphoning and tipping over. I’m taking off my blade and seeing what’s under there before doing all this extra nonsense

Why A company would make A push mower without an oil drain plug is such Bullshit. They are expensive enough without having to go buy A new one because this one blew up because the oil looked like roofing Tar, lol

you have to remove the blade and the cover on the bottom of the mower to access the oil drain plug on this model...

There is not Briggs and Stratton took them off they said you can just "check and add" which I don't believe at all I know this because I have this same mower and I found this out.

i think like other TB models there might be a drain plug on the bottom of the engine under a plastic shroud that can be accessed after removing the blade. I THINK. I have not yet done this to my TB110 but will be soon.

The small black little compartment in the front. Unscrew them. Have a small oil pan or container… it will come out three there… don’t ask how we found out… bahahahaha

@@vickieloza2922 can you explain more? I thought the drain plug would be next to the spindle. It’s not and I’m about to just tip mine over unless I can find a plug where you found yours.

Everything about this is wrong. Drill a 1/16th hole on the bottom of the oil containment, and just let it slowly leak. Than over time refill it.=auto oil change
