A few things: - If you have a BMW, there's a good chance you have an AGM battery. In this case, you will want to use the "winter" setting. - If you use the "recondition" option, you should disconnect the battery from your car, and plug your charger directly to battery or you might do some damage to your car's electronics.

It's NOT a trickle charger. It's a SMART charger. It's an intelligent charger using proprietary algorithims. When the battery is fully charged, it knows when to 'float' the battery with a harmless pulse charge. Big difference from a 'dumb' old trickle charger that never stops charging.

I have 2016 M5 I used BMW Ctek. I left car in garage for 3 months, Everyday Charged with timer installed. Charged at night and shut off in the morning. Car start just fine after 6 months without drive

I plug in my battery to the tender if it sits more than 2 days. Might be overkill, but never hurts to keep the battery in top shape! CTEK is the way to go.

Don’t you just connect it and leave it connected for days/weeks/months if storing it?

I put under 2000 miles a year on my 2018 M3. It’s probably best I get one of these to trickle charge.

Dunno if someone else has commented this but you should use the snow mode for AGM batteries.

@2.37 when you say snowflake, i believe it also charges AGM batteries on that setting.......COLD/AGM: Charging in cold conditions and AGM batteries

Thank you for the video. Is it good for a car battery if the car is connected to the charger whenever parked in my garage? CTEK claims the charger can triple the car battery life.
