This video helped me so much! I have a camper van with 2x320w panels and i wanted to charge my Super73 battery. I bought a separate Victron 100/20 48V charge controller and put the solar panels on a change over switch. I can now put the solar power to my house batteries at 12v 60A or to charge the bike battery with 5A 56v and more importantly, i can control the charging amps, which is something i couldnt do with the existing charge controller. I was thinking of using my inverter before but thats so inefficient.

Definitely achieving the dream of what everyone who has an electric vehicle thinks about... charging it completely for free... without going through the mains! Good job. Glad you didn't push the amps too high!

I have a small solar system and was wanting to distribute the wattage from the panels to both a MPPT charge controller for my battery bank and to auto switch over to a grid tie inverter when battery is full. Was having a problem knowing how to do this until I watched your video on the subject. I bought the right relay and now have a system that does all this automatically thanks to you! 👍🏻👍🏻

Great job been looking forward to a solar project and this one's really nice charging the e-bike and like you said setup a Twizzy battery charge station from solar what's not to like so many possibilities from solar with the price of electricity going up all the time it's the future. That's nice and simple so I would look at doing that but I was also thinking of being able to use my ebike battery as an emergency power bank at home in case of a power cut so I guess I would just need to convert the battery output voltage to usable home voltage levels such as USB or whatever. Fun stuff.

I watched this video while my eGolf charges off my off grid solar system on my garage. I use a 600ah battery which charges off 6 solar panels and a very large low frequency inverter that can give a constant output of 6kw. It’s a great feeling to drive from sunshine.

Hi mate. Do you know how you might be able to charge the 48/52V lithium battery from a 12V deep cycle leisure battery. I'm often wanting to charge my bike battery overnight when the sun isn't out and don't really want to have to use and inverter.

iv been charging my battery up via solar for a few years iv got a mppt charge controller. but iv got a inline inverter so i can just plug the normal charger into the inverter. Works perfect and free power. I love messing about with solar and the bonus part is i got 8 100w panels free and charge controller came on my boat as a spare . my workshop is powered via solar all garden lights are and all my tools get powered buy solar.
