Thank you for your help with getting my compressor back in line....it was squeaking and making so much noise from the belt being too loose. Originally I thought it was the oil so I changed it twice in the past two weeks till I removed the belt cover after your video and tested the belt. Thank you, it ended up being an inexpensive fix and quite simple.

Great video👍 I’ve been fighting to get my belt aligned by repositioning the motor, somehow never thought to adjust the pulley itself. That did the trick, thanks!

Tension on belt -- can also tighten the motor / pump onto the base, and use a screwdriver to wedge a belt onto the pulleys

Is there a reason why you don't use engine bolts to tighten belt? Is tightening belt tension via compressor or engine better?

Hi, what if 1 of the belt is more loose? Sh Should i buy a new one with the same tension?

It sounds as though that one belt needs to be replaced, and with the same tension as the belt that is not, yes. Also, confirm the pulleys are aligned correctly and that the motor motor or pump flywheel is not cockeyed, as that will put more or less tension on one of the belts. Hope this helps!

What we used to do in our repair shop is to first heat up the hub of the flywheel where it presses onto the crankshaft. Then, take some heavy duty 3-arm bearing pullers and attach it to the hub of the flywheel. You then take an impact wrench (at least 1/2") in clockwise rotation to slowly pull the flywheel off of the shaft. It's necessary to apply some heat to the hub as this makes life a lot easier.
