Lol, I too spent about 10 mins looking for the dipstick, thanks for the video

I prefer dipstick for 2 reasons. - Easy direct way to check the level, instead of relying with some crazy sensor. You don't want the engine running to check the level and then find out it is low. - Can be used to check the quality of oil by verifying the color.

Thanks. Yea i was driving my buddies 2013 BMW 328i, and went through this asinine process. With a Dip stick you can (a) get an exact level reading without running the engine ,(b) check the viscosity of the oil with your fingers, and (c) do a visual check for dirt and other contaminants. With this long process all you get is an "ok"

The dipstick is typically located in the drivers seat on these cars.

All oil burners should have a dip stick high end or not

why design a 5$ dip stick when you can have a 350$ electronic system to read your oil level! !!

Thank you I thought they put the dip stick under the Seat or something. Wish it had one apparently you're never supposed to even open the hood on this car.

I was looking for my dipstick and my battery, I couldn't find either. I just told myself my car is really fancy and doesn't need any of those things. 😂😂😂

I just bought one x drive 09 .. Some noi coming from the from right wheel.. i don't know if is the rotors or wheel bearing.. Halo light out on the right side to.. i just recharge the ac nice and cool now..

That lever doesn’t control your wipers, it controls your turning signals, also you didn’t explain if you need to turn the car fully or just turn the dashboard on, cause theres two stages when using the “start” button

No dipstick sound absurd to you what about no temperature gauge. We own one without temperature gauge. a bit unsettling in my opinion.

Changing oil for a friend of mine. She never gets under the hood. Glad I checked....after feeling like a dumbass! Why would anyone think this is a good idea? So to check the tranny fluid I guess I should click my heels together, rub my stomach & pat my head, and wait for Glenda the good witch to bring me some of what the Germans were smoking so I can figure out the rest of this bucket! I never cared for BMW autos before. I despise them even more now! By the way, she has an oil leak. I am afraid to look much more. I have a feeling the car is going to ask me for a cover charge upon entry at the hood! If this is what luxury is, then keep it. I will keep my F-150 & Town Car any day!!!

What a stupid title. Do you know how many different generations of 328i there are? Every one has a different process for checking the oil level.
