Absolutely agree. The warm tyre has a higher pressure so filling must be INCREASED to get the same desired cold pressure

You need to check your manual for that. They're all different.

THIS! The door sticker &/or manual are NOT the way to check for best inflation pressure. Let me give an easy example: I own a Jeep TJ. On stock tires with no modifications, 33 Psi. First level of build with 1780lns added to it and 5" bigger tires, 28 Psi. With 1300lbs added to it and 4" bigger tire, 26 Psi on my radials and 34 Psi on my bias. Now? 5 different sets of 39-42" tires. 5 different pressures. Do I use the door jam sticker to dictate my Psi? Hell no. I chalk test the ones that ride on the street. ONLY stock cars on stock NEW tires should use the door sticker. ANY tire change, even if the exact same size but different brand, should be chalk tested. And use manufacturer's 1-800 numbers! Those people are on those phone lines because they know of which they speak.
