Awesome advice Seth! I’ve actually reached out to some folks on LinkedIn and as part of research on jobs. I can totally relate to the pressures of picking a career too. I grew up in the 80’s and graduated college in 90’s. So I grew up with mindset you pick a career and stick with it. There was tremendous pressure to fine the career and major from family. I’m a perfectionist by nature so needless to say this created lot of stress on me to find the perfect thing. Now, several decades later I still struggle. I’ve had a couple careers and now looking for something else. You have to work in a career to find out if it’s right for you and if it’s not then that’s ok. This brought me to digital marketing and taking your course.

With the society nowadays and the pressure that comes with it, I totally get why it can be intimidating to feel like you have to choose the RIGHT career RIGHT away. But, just like you said, "You are not your job," and I think more people should here this!

Wonderful advice, Seth! Gets people in touch with actual job reality, which could save them years of suffering from mistakes made. I adore Shane Hummus, that you say you are teaming with. His advice is solid, too.

Love, love, love, love this! Like how ridiculous is it to try to pick one thing as a teenager and expect to stick with it until retirement?! I think your method of interviewing someone in the field is great and also if one has the time or means, they should actually TRY a few careers. Take some online courses, go do some free work, experiment with different skills and so on, then you'll get the benefit of skills and hand on exp. That's what I've done and I'm only better for it! Also, all that past exp. is what finally led me to digital marketing!
