Tip ~ i learned some useful info in the early 80's that might help . SAEM Saudi Arabian Educational Mission set up exchange students to come to America . The big oil companies used them to bring over people to first learn English then to learn to work in refineries . South Africa was tried first , then the UK , America was the last attempt and after several Universities failed to accomplish this they moved all of them to the South . It seems southern peoples speak more slowly and enunciate each syllable which made it easier for them to pick up the language . I met a group of these students who had been in college for 6 months yet still could not even get the alphabet . i taught them in one day by using the ABC song . I then introduced them to Sesame Street and Mr Rogers' Neighborhood and that group excelled far above the other groups in record time . I made a deal with them that i would teach them English if they taught me Arabic . Many of them are still my friends today .

Thanks Scott and Seth for a great interview. Congrats Scott on your career progression. Question for your @Seth, do you see many permanent digital marketing roles (as an employee not freelancer) in paid search for part time hours? What's the norm for part time hours e.g. 10, 15 or 20 hours a week???
@sethjared

You are welcome. The majority of jobs are full time. I'd say about 10% are part time. You can go on Linkedin yourself and just click the "full time" or "part time" boxes and see the number of jobs. The reason is that any agency/company that has the client load to pay these wages usually needs week long full time help. However there are sometimes small businesses - like a law firm or dentists office, etc. that will hire an individual part time, it's just not as common.

I just wonder how much support one will get with such a course operated by just one guy. One question gone unanswered could halt progress for days. I want to know if there are any businesses focused on placing ads on Rumble, Truth Social, and X. I'm not really interested in helping Google and KZfaq earn more money. Anybody know this information?

We have a fb group so if Seth doesn’t answer his community will. I second Donald. As for your other question idk. I think whatever you learn from g00gle can be applied to any platform since advertising is all the same across all platforms

Google and Facebook have the biggest market share of search and social traffic, so that is where the jobs and clients are. Regardless of one's personal feelings about this, it's the reality. There might be some customers who want to advertise on these other platforms but very few - such that if you go on Linkedin you won't see any jobs seeking advertising expertise on these platforms. You could possibly find some clients who want to advertise there, but given the limited user base on these platforms the results will vary. The course is completely focused on Google and Facebook, so if you feel this strongly then the course is likely not for you. As mentioned in other comments, we have group coaches and an active group. But it's a self paced course that requires a lot of self motivation and self sufficiency. In fact I instruct students not to ask questions until they have gone through the course once as 99% of question are answered in there. We've been doing this since 2016.

Hi Seth, I can not go inside into your website/taring program. I was blocked, don't know why.
@sethjared
@sethjared 2 сағат бұрын
If you're blocked it is due to your location. The jobs I am speaking of are primarily in Western countries such as the US, UK, Germany, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. You cannot be hired as a salaried employee for these jobs unless you are a citizen of these countries or if you have a work visa due to labor laws. If you live in a non Western country you can either get a job in your own country or you can freelance for Western companies via sites like upwork or fiverr, but the actual job market varies widely from country to country. If you want to view the presentation or purchase you can use a VPN, but please be advised of these limitations.

Isn’t this a job that AI will soon take over?
@sethjared
@sethjared 5 күн бұрын
Nope. It's a bit complex to explain, I made a video about it here: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/edCDhM-E0d7cc6s.html Essentially these jobs and gigs exist because advertising platforms like Google and Facebook, while effective for advertisers, still have a profit motive to extract as much money from advertisers as possible and don't guarantee results. So for example, Facebook and Google both have "experts" that small businesses can call to get "Advice" on how to best advertise, and these are not actual experts but salespeople who will only recommend one thing: spend more money. So any AI/automation innovations that occur (and there have been many on FB and Google) don't usually serve the best interest of the customer. In fact there are more people needed now than ever to protect customers AGAINST many of the automations Google and FB try to push on unsuspecting advertisers. Automations can work very well once an account is optimized and the platform has a lot of data, but that still takes the guidance/support of an expert human making a lot of adjustments and communicating with the client/advertiser. Imagine if Caesar's Palace casino came up with an AI machine to help people gamble. Would you trust it? No, obviously the casino wouldn't want people winning all the time. Same with these platforms. They aren't going to magically make every ad campaign a winning campaign. At the end of the day AI will only take low stakes jobs. Autpilot has been around since 1912, the need for pilots didn't disappear. If a company is spending $5,000 or $500,000 a month they won't ever fully trust a machine to manage that. AI can be used to make the process more efficient. I also made a video about SEO (not mentioned in this video). AI is very good at generating content (Chat GPT) and people thought it was going to destory all the SEO jobs/gigs for content writing. Then a year into that process Google changed their organic algorithm and sites that used AI got penalized. Now the need for human writers is even stronger than before. So AI is impacting things, but it's not as black and white as "AI will destroy all the jobs."

Thank you so much for this. I've actually been doing this since 2004 with refugees from the Arab wars. I'm very honored when we have conversation night and everybody wants to talk to brother Frank, that's me. I'm going to look into this information and I intend to help people to more clearly understand and speak English. I've actually been correcting people's accents since I was a boy with family members who came from outside of the United States.

Do you think that I could get hired, english is my second language but I immigrated to the states at 10 years old, and like you mentioned my accent comes out when I speak more of my native language. I do think my english is excellent and I can definitely sound super American. But it really resonated with me when you said, are you looking for a friend and a safe space to practice, because when I was learning english I didn't have that and I was so ashamed of my english and never wanted people to think I'm a 'stupid immigrant'. I wonder if people would want to talk to me if I went with that approach in my profile. Would love to hear what you think, and if you actually read this you can hear me speak in my videos :) thank you for making this! <3

I’ve been a bookkeeper in Los Angeles for many years and I’ve never seen a bookkeeping job here for a bookkeeper without an accounting degree that pays more than $30-$40 tops.
@sethjared
@sethjared 5 күн бұрын
That is correct, which is why I am not talking about getting a job. I am talking about getting your own clients and charging a monthly retainer then maximizing the efficiency of your workflow to work the minimum number of hours possible. At a job the clients are paying much more but the money is going to the company/managers/etc vs freelancing.

Thanks for this! 👍 I'm currently living in Mexico, and the one thing I've noticed is that the Mexicans I talk to say they don't speak English well. Funny thing is, they actually do, but they just need some tweaks. Most things they get wrong are easily corrected, and the flaws come from the way Spanish is pronounced, like things beginning with V. In Spanish, a V is commonly pronounced like a B. I have huge ears, AND I'm autistic, so I hear very well. Even if someone has I thick accent, once I know their native language, I can compensate and understand them. This comes in handy on customer service calls.
