Yes clean as you go. I always clean as I go. My kitchen is NEVER a mess after cooking. Mrs Annette speaks clearly, clean and very encouraging. I enjoy her channel. And we attend the same church😊😉😘 The lime gives it a nice color. You seasoned the chicken really good. I know the taste was superb.

The FDA recommends not washing meat bc iT sPrEaDs bAcTeRiA- and white people be following this recomendation by the book! (I know bc I'm white and I even bought into this b.s.) As if we can trust government institutions to really GAF about our safety. The funniest part is these PSA's make is seem like just disinfecting the sink after washing your meat is humanly impossible! No, actually the funniest part is they don't even know washing meat is more like brining it with vinegar, salt, and citrice. They think it's literally just rinsing it under the faucet! (Again, I know, bc I'm white, and that's what I use to think!) I can't with us white ppl! 😆

First of all, I would like to take the time to say thank you for showing to some of us how to prepare and seasoned a nice delicious chicken 🍗, but isn’t too much acid: Lemon 🍋 and vinegar and some of us are suffering with acid reflux and a little bit of bitter orange 🍊 is enough for preparing this chicken 🍗; and every bacteria 🦠 such as salmonella in contact with the heat kill all microbes 🦠; and I just want to get your attention ⚠️ to this; and thank you for sharing and bon appétit 😋 😋😋😋😋🍗🍗🍗🍗
@dorannette26
@dorannette26 9 ай бұрын
Your welcome and no it’s not too much acidity. The majority of the acid was removed after pouring the hot water on it. I do understand your concern! We clean our meats with fresh lime, vinegar and salt mainly to remove the raw smell. It also gives the finished product a better taste. I understand that heat kills bacteria . I learned that back in culinary school along with the different internal temperature to cook meats. Thanks for commenting!

@dorannette26
@dorannette26 Жыл бұрын
Yes, I have other videos where, I use limes, vinegar and salt. If someone does not have vinegar, lime and hot water works very well. By the way , Bacteria like salmonella and campylobacter, are found in raw poultry and undercooked chicken. So, washing chicken with lime, vinegar, salt and hot water doesn’t kill the bacteria. Cooking chicken with an internal temperature of 165° Fahrenheit kills the bacteria!

@dorannette26

Hot water is used in my culture, to rinse chicken off after cleaning it. Our cleaning method happens to make taking off the skins easier (it is not a trick). Chicken Thigh skins is easy to takeoff, so you can remove it before pouring hot water on it.

Very clean lady. I would definitely eat your food. I have one question why didn't you put some salt on the chicken when washing it? My mom taught me to put water and a piece of lime in the water after rising my meat put it on the boiling water let it boiling for like a couple minutes before putting my seasonings.
@dorannette26
@dorannette26 4 жыл бұрын
Yvie Demonstene ..Every household does it differently. My mom taught us to uses salt and limes, because it has antibacterial properties that will kill bacteria that may be on chicken. Boiling your lime kills off it’s vitamins and antibacterial properties .

Darleen Doxey ....thanks... washing your hands thoroughly before cooking is a must, but not wearing a glove while handling raw meat is not an issue. If there is any bacteria present on your meat , the heat will automatically kills it, While it cooks. NOW, Touching cook food is a no no,!! You must wear gloves when handling cooked food, at all time.
