Greetings from England, thanks for this. For some reason aussies appear to keep giving me useful advice. Was top result for unblocking a toilet the other month!

Lord, have mercy on me! 😅 Regarding the coin trap, I didn't know it was called that. I checked the one on my washer 2 days ago and found a dime in it, although I wasn't sure if it came from the drain tube or the actual trap. (The dime had become discolored, plus the water that came from the little tube smelled RANCID and is BLACK in color! A long, hairy clog came out as well, which is certainly part of the problem.) For the remainder of the day, into yesterday, I kept talking about that silly darn DIME and how it managed to get down into what I thought was a lint filter or something along those lines! At least I have learned something new! *I'm keeping the dime as a little keepsake...😅 Thank you so much for your informative videos! God bless you and yours! 👍

Thank you this was really helpful. I Now feel confident cleaning the filter pump and coin trap and it was especially helpful to know that about the hose and using it to drain the machine first

I wish my washer had that front door panel. I have a Frigidaire washer from 2007 and I have to disassemble the entire washing machine to access the coin tray. You're fortunate if you have a door like that.

Thanks! I've been meaning to do this for a few months now and never got around to it. Another video mentioned it but didn't go into detail, so I'm glad you've got one on this. Pro tip: don't use a quarter sheet pan. I only filled mine half way to the top, but every step was a spill risk! I'd recommend using a half-sheet pan if your washer isn't on a pedestal -or- a deeper cup/bowl/pan if you've got a washer that's higher off the ground.

My front load Whirlpool Duet washer doesn't have a lower front panel to access the coin trap. The coin trap is facing the front of the washer, so I'm unable to access it if I remove the back panel of the washer. What do I do?

There are bigger coins in my washing machine that cannot pass into the coin trap. Is there a way to get those out??

I was getting rust in my clothes and did not think to check the coin filter. So I did pull it out and saw the rust on the end of the filter. Couldn't figure out how it got rust there, and put it back together. Saw your video about looking at the pump, so I removed the filter, and looked into the hole and saw a screwdriver bit sitting there...all rusty!! Thanks, and Aloha for the tip.
